BEN JOHNSON CALLS OUT MATT LAFLEUR? Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears PLAYOFFS WEEK

On Wilde & Tausch, the guys react to Bears head coach Ben Johnson’s comments after Week 18, where he appeared to take shots at teams — including the Green Bay Packers — for resting starters.

Despite Chicago playing its starters and still losing, Johnson doubled down. So what was he really trying to say?

Is this just Packers vs Bears rivalry talk, or a coach trying to make a statement before the NFL Playoffs?

The crew breaks down why the Packers’ approach to resting starters has worked for decades, what actually matters heading into January, and why playoff success always outweighs Week 18 statements.

  1. That was a passive aggressive dig at GB. Which is fine. It was stupid. Really stupid. GB had nothing to gain by playing starters and winning. Nothing. HE DID. And he still lost. So it is not only stupid but a false equivalence. What I hope is that GB hears it and takes his insult personally.

  2. 2:40 absolutely. And right after we lost that last one I turned around calmly and said “I actually don’t mind that, because I feel like we are going to meet them in the playoffs and I don’t think we can beat them 3 times this year, so now we can take them down in the playoffs which will be so much better”

  3. You guys are such a joke. There was no shot at anyone. The question was asked the result being what it was, was there consideration resting your starters. He answered the question. And if it was directed towards anyone, it was to Philly. Packers made sense resting since they had nothing to play for final week

  4. Packers fans and media needs to be humbled.. Ben was NOT talking about GB he was talking about HIS team and the way he goes about doing his business..

  5. The packers have gotten hit with massive injuries that’s exactly why they didn’t play anyone. I would have done exactly the same!
