I’ll never understand why they stopped this combo. It’s so much better than the black pants/jersey. Not to mention it’s literally our color scheme
Sac religious. I’m not hating on all the new uni’s, but we need to calm down a bit…..
What’s so weird to me is that we wore gold jerseys twice and gold pants three times (once with gold jerseys, twice with white jerseys). But as you said, we never wore gold pants with black jerseys.
So obviously, the players don’t have an issue with our gold or the gold pants, but I guess whenever we wear black jerseys, we just by default choose all-black now. It’s really dumb and I’m tired of all-black. The gold pants are our best look whether you like it or not.
Gold pants with our regular white jerseys is alright, especially compared to the black pants- white jersey combo (🤮) but this beige-gold is shit when combined our black jerseys and their proper gold numbers. Our black monochrome is aesthetically excellent, especially with our color scheme and simplistic design. I have a hard time believing that all the vocal opponents of them aren’t people who dislike monochrome uniforms regardless because they grew up in the 80’s
The year we get that uniform combo is the year we win another Super Bowl
Tbh Gold pants are what I think of the Saints wearing my whole life, it’s the Brees-era classic.
What I reckon has happened is linked to the hideous gold jerseys.
Whoever makes our jerseys either didn’t want to make gold pants or didn’t make good looking ones and the team chose not to use the hideous alternative.
I really hope this isn’t the case, but I can’t think of another reason they would leave behind the flagship uniform apart from corporate greed.
