2. Why does everyone want Weaver gone? You do realize why the best in the world are placing him as a head coach candidate? You do realize how little he had to work with for building our defense? Most other DCs and that defense is even worse at least in the last half of the season, it was definitely a slow start with all the rookies

19. Doug, you're seeing the entire GM search and their decision about what they should do the wrong way. They aren't going to give them any ultimatum. They are only going to listen to their ideas and listen to their plan for the team. Whichever candidate has the best ideas and best plan will likely get the job. They aren't going to just hire the guy and then ask them what their plan is. So if Ross is wanting the plan to include McDaniel, they will likely hire the guy that has the best plan that includes McDaniel already. If the guy that they hire has a better plan that includes firing McDaniel but also knows who he can hire to replace him, then that would be the plan. It won't be a situation where they just hire the best guy for the job and then let him make the moves. They will know the plan before he is hired. You can 100% be guaranteed of that.
