Now that we’re halfway through the offseason, how would you guys rank the current rosters in the NL Central? I’ve attached all the Free Agents remaining from each team, with all notable acquisitions and subtractions.
In 2025, the Pirates finished 26 GB of the Brewers, 22 GB of the Cubs, and 12 GB of the Reds. How would you rank them today?
I’d probably go: Cubs, Brewers, Reds/Pirates, Cardinals.
Anything else stand out for you guys from what other teams have done so far? Curious what it would still take to be competitive with these teams.

Weird seeing the Cardinals clearly being the worst in the division.
As far as the rest of the teams I think the Brewers will regress a little. Do not seeing them winning 97 games again this year.
Think you’re pretty spot on with how it’s gonna play out but I would put Brewers/Cubs on the same level. The Reds and Pirates are about equal talent wise. However, I think either team has the potential to jump into Brewers/Cubs echelon depending on how some guys develop.
If Griffin truly lives up to his potential right out of the gate I think this team can make a run at the division. I DOUBT it because let’s be honest, he was drafted out of high school and we’ve been absolutely spoiled with Skenes’ development. The talent is obvious though. We really do need to add another big bat for this to be plausible.
This division is absolutely loaded with pitching.
