Philadelphia 76ers Trade Targets:
– Keon Ellis, G, Sacramento Kings
– Jay Huff, C, Indiana Pacers
– Tari Eason, F, Houston Rockets

Bleacher Report on Keon Ellis trade rumors:
“Keon Ellis is on the books for $2.3 million, hits threes, can defend, and most importantly of all, plays for a team physically incapable of winning trades. In a perfect world, he’d be a few inches taller. But having him, VJ Edgecombe and Quentin Grimes gives Philly a who’s who of not-huge-guards who can try pestering properly sized wings.”

Keon Ellis stats:
– 2025-26: 5.7 PPG, 1.4 RPG, 39.2 FG%, 35.9 3P%, 1.2 SPG

Bleacher Report on Jay Huff:
“Searching for a big rings slightly hollow when the Sixers have Drummond, Joel Embiid, Adem Bona and Dominick Barlow. Jay Huff is cheap enough ($2.3 million) for Philly to sniff around his floor-spacing-rim-protector outlines. Especially if Drummond becomes tax-ducking collateral damage.”

Jay Huff stats:
– 2025-26: 7.8 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 42.1 FG%, 29.3 3P%, 2.2 BPG

Bleacher Report on Tari Eason:
“Tari Eason remains an agent of defensive chaos when healthy. He is pure anarchy when his threes are falling. Philly should not go all-out to get him, but injuries, next summer’s foray into restricted free agency and the Houston Rockets’ proximity to ducking the tax could pave the way for a more reasonable price tag if a third (and potentially fourth) team gets involved.”

Tari Eason stats:
– 2025-26: 12.1 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 51.2 FG%, 50.0 3P%, 1.1 SPG

We want to hear from you SIXERS FANS! Answer today’s questions:
– Pick one player to trade for: Keon Ellis (Type ‘KE), Jay Huff (Type ‘JH’), or Tari Eason (Type ‘TE’)
– Do you still believe in Jared McCain? Type ‘YES’ or ‘NO’

Bleacher Report on Jared McCain:
“Beyond the reacquisition of firsts, Dallas continues to need an offensive weapon who can dribble and play-make and is preferably closer to Flagg’s timeline than Kyrie Irving but has a higher ceiling than the standout moments delivered by Ryan Nembhard and Brandon Williams. Jared McCain doesn’t shoulder a ton of table-setting responsibilities with the Philadelphia 76ers. That’s precisely why he could be gettable. Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe are ahead of him in the big-picture pecking order, and there’s a chance Quentin Grimes could be as well.”

Jared McCain stats:
– 2025-26: 7.1 PTS, 2.7 REB, 35.2 FG%, 32.2 3P%

Bleacher Report on Justin Edwards:
“Justin Edwards is just 22 and has seen the scope and scale of his role dip with the Philadelphia 76ers. This bodes well for the Bulls. Edwards’ offensive efficiency has fallen off a cliff, but he is plug-and-play and showed last season he could down threes at a reasonable clip. Even if he remains an offensive wild card, he can ferry a pretty extensive defensive workload on the perimeter, making him a bargain at $2 million this year, $2.4 million next season and $2.6 million in 2027-28 (team option).”

Justin Edwards stats:
– 2025-26: 5.2 PTS, 1.8 REB, 36.7 FG%, 33.3 3P%

  1. I hope they don't move anyone. Oubre, Jr. is having a career year before the injury and the team has finally figured out how to play together over these past few wins. They're a contender right now. If they do make a move, Eason would be my target given your analysis.

  2. Don't trade anyone. Don't trade Kelly Oubre. Don't trade & then later you regret that trade. The sixers needed to get rid of Daryl Morey & Nick Nurse. Keep Andre Drummond.

  3. Still a shame they didnt sign grimes for 3 or 4 years during off season. He will probably leave…
That said, if you can get ellis and you can resign him he would be a nice addition (as grimes or mccain replacement). But that isnt guaranteed, so you can try to get him off season also.
Eason would be nice addition, but also free agent off season, and philly wont be able to give him big money (or are they?), so not realistic i think.
    Huff maybe, dont know.
Would like to get in first round 2026 draft, but think thats difficult.
After this season, maybe trade pg (or embiid?) And free up salary room and make moves seems more realistic

  4. Trade McCain. Worst shooter on the team shooting 35% from the field. He can't stop anyone from going to the hoop or guard the 3. Get a defender to cause a couple of stops.

  5. They have to make a trade or cut ppl. Here is the issue, we are going to have a make a decision on our two way players Barlow and Walker soon. We only have 1 roster spot. Grimes, K.O., Drum, and the 2 old heads all on 1 yr contracts. Do you keep and let all walk or try and gain assets. Tough call

  6. Oubre is not a salary dump type player. He hustles, plays D, hits the boards, and drives and cuts pretty well. Just an average 3 point shooter however.

  7. Why is your perfect target someone who is going to miss half the season? Remember, this is his contract year, once signed, he will be back on the injured list….And we got too many of those who play half the season because of injuries.

  8. Stop it. There are no trades Morey is looking at, to make the team better.
There is currently complicated bookkeeping going on to deal with the 2-Way Players.
There is a rule that Jake should learn about, that says that a team without a full 15 man roster, can only use a total of 90 active games for all their 2-way players.
That supersede the rule of 50 games per 2-Way player, until the roster goes back up to 15 (it is currently at 14).

Beyond that, the Sixers need to convince Josh Harris that they are contenders or else Morey will be asked to reduce salary by giving away Oubre and Drummond at the trade deadline.
This awful loss to the G-League Nuggets doesn't help.

  9. Trading McCain, Gordon and possibly moving Lowry into a coaching position is the BEST move for this team.
The Sixers need to move two players for a roster spot and a BETTER rotational player. Sixers need a roster spot for Barlow and could add a player like Eason and/or Jaylen Wells to there roster.
