DK, you didn't get to the crux of the J1Q. What acquisitions has Milwaukee made? The Cubs? I think the Pirates have closed the gap some. Yes, they need more, but they are ahead of St. Louis and Cincinnati. They have more speed, power and grit. Anorher bat, preferably 3B, gets you even with the Cubs, and that'll get you enough wins to be in wild card territory, at the minimum. Chicago is losing Tucker, which is a big bat, so we gain there also.
I didn't think about the top teams in the division as far as improving like you mentioned!! I really appreciate your comments on that!❤
Pirates added a few bats that should help avoid some of the shutout losses, but agree they still need to improve at 3B.
So, The Brewers have added Andrew Vaughn, and the Cubs hhave added three arms to their pen. So I woukd say the Pirates havevexceeded noth of those teams moves, to this point. However, that gets them up to where they need to be. Getting that additional bat, and adding say a Justin Wilson for the bully, and a #5, like Quintana or Anderson, makes this team much more likely to keep the Cubs and Brewers looking over their shoulder.
Good thing Buffalo has no MLB team.

Pirates have added 6 very good players Lowe Allstar,Ohearn Allstar,Mangum out Garcia out,Soto RP,Montgomery RP Cardinals rebuilding Cubs haven't done much ,Brewers haven't done much what have they done???
What “real moves” have the brewers and cubs done so far this offseason? They’ve done practically nothing. Same with reds. And the cardinals are actively rebuilding.
Skenes is introverted. Just because he doesn't show emotion doesn't mean he doesn't care. His actions show he does.
