He was an incompetent fool with no power on staff and I think everyone realized this as season went on. I thought he was hired for merit as benefit of doubt to Pete, but what a wasted hire that was.

Technically, it is Spytek, Pete Carroll, and Chip Kelly’s fault.. They knew he wasn’t good enough, and he was a nepo coach, yet they refused to do anything about it..
Personally, I think Pete and Spytek are the most responsible, as the buck stops with them.. Pete should have hired someone else, and when he refused, Spytek, Brady or Mark Davis should have stepped in, and said “No, enough is enough, replace him, or we’ll replace you..”
I don’t understand if Geno is so cool with Pete Carroll how hard is it to go to coach and say “hey coach, your son is really not it”
And a year of development of our two drafted linemen was basically lost because of that fucking nepo hire

All year we were told not to believe what we were seeing because the coaches see them in practice.

While we DEFINITELY still need to draft OL early this year, I think a competent OL coach and getting back Kolton miller will make our current line 10x better than what it was this past year.
The crazy part is how basic this was of a bad decision. Right when I saw it… should his son be the coach for such an important part of the offense? Geez.
I mean, kind of. If I let a pig into my house, and my wife gets mad because the couch has been chewed up and there is pig shit everywhere, whose fault is it? The pig, or me who let him in?
