[Lloyd] Browns owner Jimmy Haslam insists team isn’t dysfunctional. Just look at the kicker

People read Lloyd? He sounds identical to my jaded Browns fan uncle who drinks heavily.
Was pointing to the kicker goofy, yes. But Lloyd’s a pretentious fuck, so fuck him.
What a disingenuous load of shit, even for Lloyd
Źzzzzzz, say something interesting.
Idk about you guys, but I’m freaking pumped to have a kicker that’s nails and I can be confident in. Do we not remember that just last year Hopkins cost us multiple games.
Lad, he owned the Watson debacle multiple times and pointed out a great find in Szmyt. Two things can be true at the same time.
Also for everyone that wants to nail Berry to Watson, Haslam pushed through to guarantee the entire deal and Stefanski was also very much involved in getting Watson. He’s a highly regarded coach and if he didn’t want Watson, he should’ve left a long time ago and not signed an extension. The blame goes Haslam, Berry, Kevin, but Kevin played a big part in it.
It took ten years to get a kicker, and he’s still a maybe.
Is there anyone in the local media, or the national media*, who is on the other side of this conversation? Anyone who agrees with these decisions and thinks Haslam and Berry are on the right track?
They seem to be getting clowned by … everyone.
*I’ll exclude the weird Shedeur Sanders media goblins here (Josina Anderson and the like) who have decided Stefanski was justly punished for sabotaging Shedeur’s career.
>Only in Cleveland can you engineer The Worst Trade in the History of Sports and leverage it into a promotion. Only in Cleveland can the owner stand there and insist his organization isn’t dysfunctional when he’s responsible for 27 starting quarterbacks during his 13 full seasons in charge.
>The trade to acquire Deshaun Watson burned down the Cleveland Browns. Jimmy Haslam chose this week to keep the arsonist and rid himself of the fireman who couldn’t put out the flames. It actually makes perfect Browns sense. So Kevin Stefanski is gone and Andrew Berry, the general manager behind the Watson trade, is still here because, hey, they may owe Watson $135 million in future cap commitments, but at least Berry found the team a kicker.
Where’s he wrong? Berry has been awful and got promoted for it. Saying this team should have won more games with their offense is delusional from the owner.
Lmao
The media feels the need to get their pound of flesh because lolbrowns, but anyone rational can look from the outside and see it’s not dysfunctional. Compare 2014 browns to today, it’s night and day
The team isn’t dysfunctional.
The OWNER is.
Haslam has dementia
Never listen to Jason Lloyd 😂 dude swore up and now he’s mad that Kevin got fired but AB didn’t 🤣🤣🤣
I think a big reason for Stefanski firing has been Baker’s success in Tampa. He couldn’t get the same production out of Baker. That obviously ignores Tampa’s better Offensive line and one of the best receiver rooms in the league which would put the blame back on Berry.

Special Teams Coach?🤔
This is the most clear headed writing on the Browns I have read in some time and it goes to show how access-journalism, mouthpiece slop local reporting around here is.
The framing of this where you are simply looking at the decisions in the last 2-3 years instead of the breathless Monday freakouts is so refreshing.
Berry being a yes man with no backbone who just blindly follows whatever the billionaire toddler wants isn’t the win some of y’all think it is.
Look at the records of the teams with a meddling owner. Shoot, Dan Snyder was trying to make the team like a fantasy football team when he owned the Commanders. Dallas was awesome in the mid 90s until Jerry didn’t like the fact Jimmy Johnson was getting all the credit and felt he could build a successful team.
That was one of the stupidest things I have heard an owner say. Andrew kept his job for a kicker and the draft and Tyson Campbell.
Crazy stuff.
2020: Austin Seibert was cut after Week 3…Cody Parkey finished year
2021: Chase McLaughlin
2022: Berry spent a 4th round pick on Cade York, the crowd goes wild, the Browns finally got their forever kicker! Even though it cost precious draft capital, who cares, he’ll be the kicker for two decades!
York is cut in 2023.
2023: Dustin Hopkins – They finally did it, the Browns found their kicker! They signed Hopkins to a three-year, $15.9 million contract extension in July 2024, making him one of the NFL’s highest-paid kickers at the time. But it’s just money; Hopkins will be the kicker for the next decade!
Hopkins is cut in 2025.
2025: Andrew Berry finally found his forever Kicker Andre Szmyt! For the next decade! At least!
The owner looks at this entire bumblefuck saga and calls it a primary success of GM Berry!
