The Hawks fall closer and closer to the lottery and are looking to dump Trae Young. If the following happens how big of a meltdown would non-Spurs fans have?

  3. They’ve been much better without Trae this year (who hasn’t played much) so not super relevant for the odds imo

  6. Forget about OKC, we would quickly become the most hated team itl. Every thread would be about how unethical the spurs are. People would start to call wemby a flopper everytime he falls on the ground. The Adam Silver created team and rigged league allegations would be unending. We would eventually become a dynasty and 20 years from now, the beautiful game 2 would come out and people would eventually reminisce on how much of a marvel this team was to watch

  8. The league is trying to figure out how the two teams near the top of the standings, with the two best young cores, might also end up with lotterty picks next year. If nothing crazy happens, Spurs and OKC will be battling for a while, and everyone else will be watching.

    And I love the fact that they do not like each other. This does not have the same panache of Spurs\Lakers in the 00’s, but it could be a lot of fun

  13. As others have said we’d be the most hated team in the league, and the conspiracies would be never ending. Even though there’s not rhyme or reason as to why the Spurs would be favored by the league.

  14. Well considering he has played 10 games and they’re 2-8 in those games. A trade will likely make them better

  16. Trading Trae will make the Hawks better. He’s barely played this year and hasn’t been great when he has played aside from a few games

  19. A top 6 pick is a nightmare for the NBA. Caleb Wilson or Jayden Quaintance instead of Lendeborg or Steinbach? People would be pissed.

  20. Tbf they’re 2-8 with Trae and 15-13 with him so they might not even end up in the lottery

  23. The Hawks are a better team without Trae Young. They will play better without him and might even play themselves out of the lottery.

    I hope they’re not able to move him so he tanks them even further.

  25. Real life though, why are people so convinced spurs rigged the draft? Like objectively spurs made all these amazing trades and acquired good picks from bad teams, then they actually super sucked for a couple of years so it actually makes perfect sense and you can see exactly how it happened. Mavs/flagg on the other hand seems way more sus. If spurs win this year it’s cuz they were smart enough to bank on Atlanta sucking

  28. Sorry to say this, but the Hawks still most likely get better with a Trae trade. His offense is not off setting his defense. With him out of the lineup, the Hawks were playing better.

    With his trade, they can get someone at least replacement level for the bench and permanently start Alexander Walker. They would be better in the future and immediate with a Trae trade.

  30. I would be cautious cause this might be a blessing for the hawks…. The hawks are a significantly worse team with him playing…. Don’t get me wrong without him there still a sup par team but we have to be patient
