The team has its flaws but they have performed well. People were acting like this team is a lottery team the last 2 weeks. December was a bad stretch but every team goes through that, look at OKC

Imagine if we had a front office that actually invested in the margins and didn’t just skip the small details. Team has a lot of upside not being realized because of incompetence from Pellinka.
So we are running our starters rampant, taxing their bodies and celebrating the fact that we have no depth? Look at us woohoo if we face 1 injury, we have no “next man up”
We look great on paper. Let’s just hope the players don’t have bones like paper, or that the only pain in LeBron’s ass is the youngins.
Could be better, thats what a lot of people’s issue is. There’s positives and negatives. Like always, but the negatives outweigh the positives if you ask a lot of ppl. I’d just like to see them play well against playoff teams and contenders overall. Then I’ll have no worries. But trade deadline is next month so I’m not tripping till that passes and if anything happens. Which it should. But yes I’ll take this record even after all the shit from the start, since Brons return and the 2 game skid they had which turned everything a bit.
For any self hating Laker fan that questions what value Luka brings to the team, THIS is the value he brings. Now imagine if we put a competent defensive team with decent bench depth around him. What a concept that would be.
I keep telling people every single day: just imagine if the Lakers were fully healthy with their entire roster right now. Nobody’s been at full strength all season, but if you picture having LeBron, Luka, Austin Reaves, Rui, Gabe Vincent, everyone healthy and ready to roll into the playoffs, just imagine what they could do.
The sky would be the limit. I keep saying it, but people just don’t have that confidence. Sure, they need to patch up their defense a bit, but besides that, I’m telling you, they’re going to be a sleeper team in the playoffs.
Here’s an optimistic take: the ‘balanced’ lineup many of us envisioned (Ayton, LeBron, Luka, Reaves, Smart) has played I think 4 games and about 15 minutes together. So this record is against a fairly large headwind of injuries.
So if we’re able to have a healthy streak toward the end of the season and those guys can click in a way which maximizes their offensive and defensive potential we could be major players in the postseason.
Lets stop coping. This Lakers team is only good against bad teams. Awful against good teams.
The irony is we’d have like 4 more wins if the 3% and bench scoring weren’t bottom 5. Things that can be remedied as the season progresses.
Comparing the lakers to okc is wild under any context
This just shows how much Luka and LeBron raise the floor of rosters. This roster should not be winning this much
Get trashed by the good teams, can somewhat beat the bad teams. Not a full team yet. Still we all say Thank you Nico.
Shows how great Luka has been as well as Bron and when AR was playing AR as well. The team has significant flaws but if its a close game the odds are we’ll win that due to being able to better execute in the clutch with Luka, AR, and Bron.
No we’re not
I will hold off on judging them until after the deadline passes. If no moves are made to improve then I feel like judgement is warranted.
The 23-24 Mavs were 26-23. Made some good trades, got a little healthier and finished 50-32.
That’s just how good Luka is
I’d offer the Blazers Rui & Kleber for Jerami Grant right now. They get two expirings and the lakers get another wing who can play off the bench
And we haven’t lost to the Hornets this season
We’ll be an above average/good regular season that’ll get exposed in the playoffs.
I guess after the Darvin Ham era people are celebrating the 4 seed like it means something. But if we’re being real, what good is it just to get bounced in the first round again?
The equivalent to the east is the raptors. Does that make you feel better?
We definitely need some 3 and D guys off the bench
The interesting stat they brought up in the last Memphis game was we are 11-0 (now 12-0) when under 5 points in the last two minutes. In close games we are pretty clutch. It’s the other 3.8 quarters we need help with haha
I just think last season we started turning it around around Mid-Late January and February. Here’s hoping it changes as well— especially as I feel the Lakers defensive struggles have a lot to do with effort, especially when it does look like they can play decent D when they do put in effort like in the 4th.
All because our Lemon Daddy GOAT showed up as the first option, Luka making those 40s, Bron coming alive during a low time for our team, and DA, Jake, Rui, Smart, Adou, NSJ coming alive in couple games each.
For all the recent diatribes on this subreddit, if you didn’t look at their record, you’d think they’re 11-22. This isn’t a bad team. Yes, we have deficiencies. Glaring deficiencies. But we are also banged up. And, let’s be real, we are 6-6 the past 12 games. Guess who else is 6-6 the past 12 games? The “vaunted“ OKC Thunder, who just got blown out by the Hornets last night, in OKC.
Things could be a LOT worse. Let‘s not allow short term frustrations zap our joy.
We’re doing the one thing you need to do to be a decent team: beating the weak teams consistently.
Not to mention our top three players have missed lots of games. So have the Spurs.
It just how much Luka and LeBron elevates a franchise
You forgot one of the bottom tier teams in 3pt attempted and made
12-0 in clutch games, but Lakers sure know how to lose em too. 😂😂😂
Lakers have become death, brutalizer of bottom feeding teams.
Lukas 3 has been so bad this year and we’re still the 3 seed when those start dropping at a 37% clip narratives about the lakers gonna change quick.
You know what, hell yeah man.
pretty good team at beating bad teams.
I am going be honest. I haven’t been following the Lakers that much this season but this sub makes it seem like the Lakers are 11–22
This is exactly what upsets me about all these crybaby Luka haters. Luka is still carrying this team to wins and half the people on this sub act like the lakers have a bad record. The team is not great and they have a ton of injuries but Luka will still get you wins. If they can build a somewhat competent team around him I wouldn’t be surprised if somehow his effort magically goes up after he’s doesn’t have to carry the majority of the offensive load night after night.
thank you Luka and Austin, now Bron too for hard carrying the games.
