  1. Hes a nice guy but not a NFL qb. We are playing football on hard mode trying to make it work with Bryce. He can’t see over the line unless 3 slide. His accuracy and anticipation isn’t there. That was supposed to be his strength. Without it, he’s nothing. We are wasting time trying to work a miracle here. Need a 6’5 qb as a starting point. As the saints showed us twice already this year, you don’t need to pick #1 overall to find a qb.

  2. I disagree. I don't think that Canales has looked at Bryce and said the footwork is fine. I think Canales has realized that Bryce simply CAN'T fix that problem. If BY tried to fix his footwork, there is every chance he wouldn't succeed. The number of QB's who came to the NFL and THEN fixed their footwork is miniscule. Look no further than our own Cam Newton. Cam typically didn't have great footwork. Remember how often Cam used to throw high? Footwork.

I think Bryce is what he is. He'll either succeed or fail with the mechanics he has. Canales has simply accepted it.

  3. Yes the criticisms are valid anyone who tells you they aren't is just a shill. Yes it's a valid criticism to ask for more than 180yds a game we have the same criticism of Jalen Hurts. The criticism of his arm not being too great is evidenced by his short arming of throws into the hole in cover 2 and getting picked. Kurt Warner is a HOF great and people will still disagree out of their emotions. Yes he needs better footwork, which has been an issue since he was a rookie. Yes he has a tendency to take the check down too early evidenced by a few games where he had XL open but threw the check down before he came open across the middle, and yes, he had the time in these instances to make the throw. Also evidenced by a play from last year the week he got benched last year where Thielen was on a post route and Bryce didn't throw it. Andy Dalton ran the same play and it turned into a TD because he threw it. It's year 3 and a few of the things shouldnt exist and others should've never existed for a #1 pick. It's okay to point of the short comings of Bryce and demand more, we don't have to close our eyes and bury our heads in the sand. Yes other QBs have been shipped out a little too early, they didn't cost a haul of ready made players and picked #1.

  4. Get a QB with an ARM that should be the minimum… considering all his limitations hes not awful but hes not a franchise QB worth crazy money

  5. The only problem with Bryce is he doesn’t have any DOG in him. He’s not the alpha male type guy that’s gonna put the team on his back and go out and make things happen.

  6. Look at all the work that has been done to get below average results from a #1 pick three years down the road. Why make it so difficult. The kid is backup. We all know it. If the Panthers do not bring in real competition at QB next season I wont bother watching Young check it down every other play all season long.

  7. If BY anticipates pressure, his feet are in the “ready to run” position and he will throw from that should a receiver come open. What would really help him stay calm in the pocket is a LT that can pass pro (he does NOT trust #79, and for good reason)

  8. i am hoping for a miracle but take away the three turnovers they (Rams) smoked us on every aspect of that game. Brice is just too small, too slow not a franchise qb. Hope he proves me wrong.

  9. i don’t care if he gets 1-2 playoff wins getting carried by the team, he’s not the guy… 30th in passer rating and only 3-4 games throwing over 200 yards… they would have been serious contenders this year w a better qb… just my opinion 🤷🏼‍♂️

  10. Footwork was something Dave had Bryce work on his 1st year as HC. If memory serves, he mentioned that in a press conference or two. I think he got his footwork to a point where it would be good enough times to work with and then over time get better and better. While also forming a system that plays to his strengths

  11. Foot work matters BUT… He can’t talk to traditional guys like that because he’s not a traditional size qb… Kurt was a statue and when you have no choice but to sit in the pocket your foot work has to be A1… he needs get stronger and talk to someone like breeze

  12. This topic comes up like every other month and the media (right along with the people who can't even form an opinion for themselves) constantly flip flops with their narratives/opinions, ts makes me laugh every time. 😂😂😂
