I will say I’m thrilled and shocked the Kings beat the Wild for a second consecutive time at home (with only 10-11 forwards this time) but I’m tired of the media and their “The Kings are xx points out of 1st place” this season as they stated before / during the game.
The Kings were not 3 points out of first place. They won and attained 2 points taking them to 45, while EDM and VGK each have 46. OK.
Vegas plays tonight and the Kings don’t face SJ until tomorrow. VGK had 1 game in hand so games will be even after today, while LA has 1 game in hand on EDM. Even if Vegas loses tonight with 0 points, and the Kings earn 1 point tomorrow they’ll both have 46 points, but VGK would still be in 1st with a superior record.
We were never 3 points out of 1st this weekend. Would need to beat SJ to even be able to attain 1st place in the Pacific, that’s 4 points not 3.

They were 3 points out of first. Thats factually correct. Its January. We got 40 games left in the season. Its too damn early to be worried about games in hand. Dont get so worked up

Tf. The boys on the ice never talked about standings until Christmas break. It looks like they actually give a fuck now because of those standings and their lucky this division is an absolute joke this year
