There's no way we giving up Max Christie. Is this guy just dumb or what? His proposals and predictions are just horrendous!

  1. wait is this a joke? i’m taking this in a second, Pelicans first round pick is so valuable

  2. It’s good for the Mavs and Atlanta, Max Christie is up and coming solid starter. Would be sus for Washington

  3. Nothing dumb about this at all. Riccardi and Finley should get extended as full time GMs if they get that NOLA pick

  4. I watch this guy pretty frequently – he doesn’t really advocate for these trades, he just throws out combinations that would work.

  5. Christie, AD, AND our 2031 first for a pick that isn’t decided yet. I think that’s quite a gamble. This deal sounds so much worse if you realize you could very easily be giving up all of that for Kingston Flemings or Mikel Brown Jr. Those are good picks, but in no world do they demand that kind of package. I haven’t even seen anyone supporting this acknowledge the pick we give up

  6. If you think the Mavs should turn this down if offered it, then you are the one that’s “just dumb.”

  7. Fans fall in love with role players too easily. Mavs would and should take this in a heartbeat.

  8. So we’d get off AD’s ludicrous contract, massively reduce payroll moving into next year, bring in a recent #1 pick, and get two cracks at the lottery? The answer here is yes.

  9. I think incline Max AND a 2031 first is probably too much when you consider how asset poor we are.

  10. I just watched this, ain’t no way they trading Max.

Hardy, Naji, or most likely DLo would make more sense

  11. I mean, I don’t know why the Hawks would do this. If they’re gonna trade Trae Young why would they also trade their first pick in a draft and a likely lottery pick for Anthony Davis & CJ McCollum? But for the Mavs, even as someone in the don’t trade AD camp I don’t hate this. It’d suck to lose Max sure but like, it’s a good value. It gives us a good chance to get a lottery pick this year, maybe two. Gives us KP who isn’t as good as AD defensively but is more what we need offensively, he’s on an expiring contract so we’d have to resign him quick but he’d be cheaper than AD too. I don’t love Risacher as a prospect but Kidd has a good track record with player development and he’d be a 3rd option at most if Kyrie is healthy. 4th if we keep KP for real this one. 5th if we hit on a draft pick. Then Kispert can at least ensure we don’t lose any shooting. ..

  12. Imagine we get Peterson and Dybantsa if we do this. The rigged allegations will be through the roof and ill be all for it.

  13. Giving up future picks is not ideal given the situation Dallas is currently in.

  14. Dude, if we could convince the other teams to do this, it’s an instant trigger-pull. Part of me feels like this is one of those fantasy trades though that’s just too ideal for us, probably wouldn’t work in real life, way too heavily weighed to benefiting just one team (mavs)

  15. Just placing myself in Hawks fans shoes here but this seems pretty close to the Luka trade except they are the ones losing the pick. A year or two from now they might just have Max lol

  16. At first I was like “nah, what is he talking about? This is a good trade!”
then I saw what we gave away…. Lmao

  17. For anything else we could get, this is objectively an amazing trade for AD and building towards our future. If I was the mavericks id give up (almost) anything to get the NOP pick.
