With the rumors of Drury looking to make “macro” changes to the roster, we should be wary about any LTIR cap relief.
Can’t wait to get a good draft pick so we can ruin them
Well it was hard to care too much about this season based on their play but this cements it.
I’m going to get crucified for this.
It’s time to talk Fox into a trade. His body is starting to fail him and he was never an amazing skater. He can’t afford to get slower. We’re gonna end up with a right handed late stage Sandis Ozolinsh.
This current team feels very similar to the pre-Gorton Rangers—lacking elite offensive skill, struggling to score consistently, and skating at a slower pace. When Gorton took over as GM in 2015, the Rangers were consistently a top-10 offensive team and, at times, ranked first in the league. Even without a Stanley Cup, those teams were at least exciting to watch. Under Drury, that offensive identity has been stripped away, as players like Kakko and Buchnevich were moved in favor of fourth-line forwards and third-pair defensemen. Then, to make matters worse, the salary he cleared, he then added right back by signing slow, unskilled players. HE MUST GO
