After a lackluster performance against the Wolves, Sarr bounced back and put up 23/8/2 with 4 blocks on 7-14 shooting (2-5 3PT, **7-7 FT**) tonight against the Magic. There was a sequence in the 4th quarter of this game where he took over defensively and blocked Jett Howard on back to back possessions. He then forced a jump ball with Goga on the ensuing possession (which should count for a block imo) , preventing the Magic from getting any closer than 4 points. I genuinely can’t remember the last time a Wizards center almost single-handedly protecting a lead like that. If you go back to December, Sarr is averaging 2.9 blocks a game and that’s the kind of stuff you wanna see from your #2 overall pick in just his 2nd year.
Side note: One of the few things that Sarr hasn’t really improved this year has been his free throw shooting, but so far in 2026 he’s hit all his free throws (9-9 in 3 games).
Alex Sarr is good
So glad the Hawks passed on Sarr
Smh official page can’t even include his 5 blocks. Pretty important for the guy leading the NBA in BPG
Sad thing about Sarr is he’s been super good but since he plays for Washington he’s not getting the love he deserves.
