  1. Sammy boy has fear in his eyes, hes a fantastic talent but I still see the fear which leads to the picks. I would be interested to know how many picks come after at least 2 sacks. When he settles he is phenomenal but if you rattle him he cant settle again he needs some more ice in his veins. Im a lifelong Seahawks fan but Darnold makes me nervous.

  2. I’ve said it before — I think JS is a generational talent in the Front Office — some of the most savvy and knowledgeable moves I’ve seen in a lifetime of closely following the game. He certainly deserves GM of the year, and potentially HOF.

    Daz jus me doh. 🤷🏼‍♂️😎

  3. It’s really sinking in how much Carroll was potentially holding back Schneider’s drafting prowess. All due respect to Pete, but we had countless absolute stinkers of drafts with Pete at the helm.

  4. Ironically, the big losers of that Russell Wilson deal, the Denver Broncos, also turned themselves into an elite team this year, #1 seed in the AFC! Go figure…

In any case, I nominate John Schneider for this year's NFL MVP!

  5. Now do this same exercise at the last seasons with Russell Wilson. There are a few good ones. But you'll see a large number of failures. Rashaad Penny is one of them. Malik McDowell, who never played a down for the Hawks. High draft picks that were busts.

  6. That said, the Hawks are still pIagued with chronic Red Zone phobia. Spectacular drives down field only to stall on 3rd down and short, only to settle for field goal attempts. We've seen it time and again.

  7. What concerns me? That looming matchup with the Rams.
    2. There's been some chatter about the home crowd noise disrupting communication among the defense. And there's a reluctance to rely on hand signals because it 'gives away information.'
    3. Wonder if we'll finally get to see Shaheed blow the top off the defense. The day may come when we need it, and there have been opportunities. Does Sam have the arm to get the ball to him? You know Russell would be launching it.

  8. Not to mention the #undrafted guys! Ty, Drake, and Jake
Great as John has been, the stars and planets really have aligned for this team. I would point to the decision to hire Ryan Grubb, and that subsequent failure leading to Geno and DK wanting out. Remember, the team was intent on moving forward with Geno. Then we get Kubiak, and then we had the Vikings being dumb enough to let Sam walk. Those dominos falling is what paved the way for all this to pan out so spectacularly and so fast.

  9. We started making an elite team once we traded wilson. But the Broncos got the crap end of that deal, and they are #1 seed just like we are. Im impressed.

  10. My biggest concern is coach's play calling. From making CC a qb in the Texans game, to not running the ball on 1st and goal from the one on the opening drive v. The 49ers, I've seen way too many questionable decisions.

  11. What’s more unbelievable is that the Broncos are doing really well despite having given up all of those pics and still paying Russell Wilson.
