As a cowboys fan Mike is one of the all time underrated players and should be a first ballot HOF
He’s def first ballot HOF SB champ but he has def flown under the radar somehow his entire career. Staying healthy for over a decade straight is unheard of.

We can thank Todd Bowles and Jason Licht for squandering Mikes most productive years, and the talent we've had the past few years as well… Their complete lack of using Cade Otton effectively, is specifically why we've lost. Don't believe me? Since Brady left, we no longer targeted our TEs. Just look at Ottons production. This year specifically if you'd like. We can argue that our other big catching TE Kieft, was injured. But we had two other TEs. They combined, were targeted 3 times all season. That left Otton to carry the load. All season he averaged less than 4.5 targets per game. Why wasn't he used in better down field plays? The dude has great hands, great speed, great power, and he fights for EVERY GD YARD!!! I sit here and listen to Bowles… I sit here and listen to the commentators… I sit here and listen to the talk show hosts and the announcers… I sit here and listen to the so called "experts"… and none of them even bring up this kids name. 1st of all, what team even competes for a championship, without riding on the backs of their TE's. WE DID IT on the backs of Gronk, Brate, and OJ Howard. Why did we lose all TE production when Brady left? Wanna know why we've limped into the playoffs the last 5 or so years in the worst division in the NFL? Because we've had elite receivers and elite RBs, and a Baker. Why didn't we make it to the Championship game? Non existent TE pass plays. Not even targeted. It's not because we lack the skill at that position. Otton shows up, puts in the work, performs well above expectations… And this dude wasn't even targeted in the end zone….. Until the last game of our season…. 9 targets 7 rec for 94 and a 13.4 avg. And a Tuddie. Our coaching staff, including Grizzard this year, and Licht, failed us. Failing to use our TE effectively, caused us to place the additional workload/strain/burden in our receivers. What happened?!?! That's right… We lost Mike, and Godwin, and Shep.. Thankfully we have 3 elite RBs that were able to carry a lot of the load.. but at the end of the day… IT WASN'T ENOUGH. There's a saying that goes something like… If youre not good at something, just copy the success of someone else. Every winning team finds a way to put their TE in a position to make a play. We never even tried to copy that. My boy Otton has been a very willing and able downhill threat that runs MFers over, and no one's even talking about him…. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves… How am I the only one that's ever even talking about this… ? I just don't get it. The only argument one could have, is that he was needed more as a blocker. If you can't manage to be creative enough, to pick up a block somewhere else and get him down field for big plays, that's still terrible coaching. And we still had two other tight ends this year. One of our tight ends came in the game a couple weeks ago and caught his only pass all season in the end zone. Our other tight end was targeted 2 times. And then if you want to talk about the defensive side of the ball… Our defense is one of the worst and we're supposed to have a defensive head coach 😂😂😂. What are we doing? The sad part, is that we wasted Mike's good years and got him hurt. Godwin too. TE play woulda taken some of the load off… Gotten more offensive production, and woulda opened the field for the receivers and backs. Terrible coaching. Terrible
