Travis said on New Heights that he talked to a few people in the building already and they know where he stands as of right now. That his love for the game means he wants to play but he also wants to take a month and see how his body heals because it needs to be able to go 21 weeks of a season. So I would say still undecided. Probably more real conversations next month after he takes a break and rests and other team things shake out.
John Harbaugh, after one Super Bowl win 13 years ago, just got fired. In those 13 years he had:
6 playoff misses
2 #1 seeds with a 1-2 playoff record
Only 4 playoff wins
The most blown double digit leads of any active head coach.
No Super Bowls with a generational talent at QB.
Meanwhile Andy Reid has had, in the last 13 years:
2 playoff misses
4 #1 seeds with a 8-3 playoff record
18 total playoff wins
3 Super Bowl wins
The most Super Bowl wins after being down by double digits.
All that’s to say, Andy Reid is going nowhere. Some of y’all can bitch and moan all you want but he’s the Chiefs head coach until he doesn’t want to be.
Edit: There’s been 4 #1 seeds, not 3.
David Webb as OC please. Denver QB coach who has stabilized the system. 30 years old so no path to replacing Sean in Denver. Well known to Mahomes from Texas Tech.
I know Kliff is a candidate, but we should look at Webb as well. Webb has been recommended by Kilff in the past. We must insist Webb bring his own coaches though (just so we can get rid of one particular coach here). Webb must also want to call plays and build up the running game even though he is a QB coach. Hopefully he knows a balanced attack leads to better QB and RB play – something Andy never seems to act on.
