Although this was at the end of the game and coop was def gonna take that shot it kinda shows our spacing problem to where coop is getting doubled because the defense doesnt care about either bwill or naji and they clog the paint with no consequences for it.
And its not a suprising that Coop's best games, like the 33,9,9 game against the nuggets, came when PJ was out. We are also 4-2 without him this season with wins against the nuggest x2, miami and recently against houston when he got injured early.
While drafting a SF who can space the floor might be hard with wilson being projected to go above us and nate ament tanking his stock with a terrible college record. Trading for one shouldn't be too hard with risacher already being linked to us and guys like dean wade, gradey dick and sam hauser being decent fits.
This draft is much better for drafting what will eventually become kyrie's replacement unless we jump up.
What we need are forwards who can space the floor and not more guards

Doe-Doe can space the floor and guard multiple positions. PJ for Doe-Doe would give us Kyrie + Christie + DFS + Coop + AD, and great spacing.
By your own analysis we need better guards to space the floor…
Edit: That said, I do like the idea of a stretch 4 with Coop playing the 3. That could help with spacing, while potentially giving us enough length in the front court to make up for our smaller guards.
Ideally we’d get both a big athletic true point guard who can shoot, pass, and defend, as well as a stretch big.
We need shooters. Klay is not him.
This team needs to run big and giant lineups that prioritize defense and rebounding. None of the pgs are good enough distributors, scorers or defenders to be on the floor for extended mins. Having one in to deal with bringing the ball past half court is all they are needed for. Once in half court, Coop can run PG / initiate actions. Christy and Klay are good shooters and Naji is decent. Offense should be an afterthought to this team. Hopefully Kyrie is back soon and Nembhard can develop into a sufficient back up. Kidd has got to stop wasting mins on these landfill guys (Williams, Hardy, Martin) like he already corrected with DLo. Gaff needs to play starter mins (27+) every game and Cissie should be 6th man. Waiting for Kyrie, continuing Coop’s ball handling and command of running the offense, and hopefully drafting a Kingston Flemings type is the only guard help that matters.
