Bam’s FG% has been declining every year since the 2021-22 season.

  1. I think its a combo of a player who has always relied on athleticism for his scoring (vs technique/skill) gradually losing his athleticism/health & a veteran with greater liberty to expand his shot selection.

Makes it so his easier buckets arent there like they used to be AND he’s taking more low% shots. The combo will def tank your FG%. Without developing an offensive technical skillset Bam’s offense was never going to age well.

  2. Bam also has his lowest OBPM, BPM, VORP, WS, WS/48, DWS, OWS, TS%, in his career this year. His PER is 2nd worst in his career. DBPM, 3rd worst (close to 2nd).

Not even his defense is great this year. Only thing redeemable for him right now is his rebounding %. Probably because Ware is there playing more minutes and boxing other players out.

  3. It’s cus he’s a damn center not a PF, he does not have the handles for it. Throw in the fact that in this offense he gets no easy shots at the rim and he has to create for himself 93% of the time and there’s your reason for the lack of efficiency

  4. What happen to the Bam that was the only person to beat Beasley 1v1? We need that Bam to come back

  5. And he’s ppg has gone down as well since 2022-23

I see a few “but he’s shooting more 3s” and sure, that plays a role – but also when great offensive players shoot a lower fg% because they’re shootings from the perimeter, you expect them to increase in ppg, he’s scored less and less points each year

  6. Something has to be done. The FO just sits on their hands and just does nothing. Have a conversation with him or sit and rest him or something. Don’t continue to just let this team drown like this

  7. ¡No! Look over there! It’s an advanced stat! 1-5 defender! Best defender in the league even though he’s been on first team defense a whopping one time, 2 years ago! He’s a max player guys! He just needs Steph curry and Michael Jordan as his running mates!

    Dude is CHEEKS!

  8. We didn’t really know Bam’s ceiling until now. Heat overpay now, because they won’t do it once he gets over 30.

Bam’s role has changed so much and his shot diet has too. He went from the second offensive threat, to third, to second, to whatever he is now.

Bam has overachieved as an undersized center, and now is fusing pf into his game.

He’s been asked to do a lot, but he’s been paid accordingly and received the attention he deserves.

He’s not going to get another max, and he’s cool with that.

  9. Bam is at the age where players are normally hitting their peak and putting up career high numbers. Unfortunately, looks like he peaked a little earlier than most, and it would be highly irregular for his numbers to reverse and go back up. He needs to focus on becoming old man Horford. Solid defense and three point shooting.
