  1. The League reminds me a lot of Nascar, France family does what they want and if you dont like it race somewhere else.. to quote the Panthers… "Apologize to nobody"

  2. Always weird to see Leaf fans complain about preferential treatment other teams get, when sure, there's no doubt that Florida gets away with far too many penalties, but the league bends over backwards to cater to the Leafs every chance. Just look at their schedule for this season, and how many other teams did the league go out of their way to make an explanation for why a suspension was or wasn't given for a play involving their team? The Panthers are certainly spoiled, as are the Knights, but the Leafs are as well for other reasons.

  3. Imagine . Just imagine. Being as bad at your own job as Parros is at his 😅. And still being able to come in everyday.
    It's f*cking wild man. 😂
    Not a league

  4. The boarding hit on Macelli was just as bad, obvious and blatant as the Laughton one I thought. And of course nothing at all, not a blink from the refs or broadcast. I assume Parros would say it's Macelli's fault because he got up, and Leafs fault for scoring shortly after.

  5. Do the Leafs roaster have ADHD ? Bc it seems that either they started to take their pills 3 weeks ago or they were injected with NITRO Last night.

  6. As a Lightning fan we’ve been dealing with this for years, I’m equal parts glad and upset other teams are catching on, I foolishly hoped it wouldn’t balloon this far out of control but it makes otherwise great hockey from that Florida team unwatchable. Tampa just played the avalanche in one of the closest checking, electrifying regular season hockey games I’ve ever seen. Both teams played hard, skated with eachother, and didn’t let either team gain a free inch. Not once did I stop and think there would be a dirty hit coming or anything like that, it was fantastic and reminded me why I love this sport so much. The games against the panthers should be that same way, but there’s only so many concussions given to Brandon Hagel i can take before it becomes more than a hockey game and more of a rage inducing bloodfest that my team has to win. It’s a stain on the sport that can be so much more than a guy getting his face thrown into the glass from behind. What the panthers do is not “tough hockey.” I don’t consider gloved punches to the face tough, they do what they can to win and that is ending the chance for other talented players to get the chance to. I fear it’s all going to lead to another Steve Moore incident. I love this sport, I just wish the NHL did as well.

  7. Probably their 2nd best game of 2026.
Hit in Laughton ya should have been 4 minute penalty .
Troy Stecher give this guy some time on the power play! He has played with McCabe OEL Beniot 13:46 Rielly and hasn't looked out of place !
Didn't hear Brendan Carlos' name once I didn't notice him . Myers was okay except for the Marner over the glass .
Morgan Rielly must have had to watch a lot video of the OT winners he has been in for . Not mention his minus 15 rating after 41 games.
Bobby McMann Roy Beniot seemed to have a burr under them..
Nice goal by Knies. Nice pass by Knies to Mathews!
    2 pt good game

  8. Nobody should be impressed by this win. Outshot and outworked again. This game was won and lost because of the goalies. Our goalie was better is all that happened.

  9. As a Bolts fan, I’m glad they decided to fall on the sword for the sake of the rest of the league in the preseason to give the Panthers back everything they were dishing out. They knew the backlash they’d get from the league, and they did what had to be done anyway. Even if the Bolts had kept sucking like they did in the immediate aftermath, I’d still say it was a worthy sacrifice for the good of the sport. The fact they’re back on top of the East after all that is just gravy

  10. Been saying it for decades, any league that gives "ref discretion" cannot be trusted and leaves the door open for corruption as seen with the Campbells.. if it is a penalty then call it! enough of this evening up penalties crap just to keep games close and ratings up because everyone knows if a team keeps taking penalties and is losing badly because of it people will stop watching and watch something else and ratings nose dive… this is what is killing peoples interest in pro sports, people want a fair and honest game not a ratings driven circus.

  11. Colin Campbell was also leading the department of player safety during his son's 2011 cup run with the Bruins, and there is a lot of greasy/corrupt stuff from that. He "stepped down" before game 1 of the cup final, but there is lots of evidence that he still had influence over the decisions the department was making. He even had a referee and the goalie equipment inspector (ya that's a thing) removed from the series for suspected bias toward the canucks. They talked about it on an old SDP episode when talking about a lawsuit that included allegations that Tim Thomas used illegal pads in the finals.

  12. Laughton set himself up for that hit. I'm not a Panthers fan but if you purposefully turn your bank on the Panthers by the boards… That's kinda your fault

  13. You took the moment to mention Carlo, but said nothing about Rielly who had a great bounce back game and was +2 as well. A quick run through of his involvement with the goals tonight:

    – Rielly didn't get an assist but was pivotal to setting up the first goal.

    – On the second goal, he actually made a good change to allow Stetcher to jump on the ice, which about 6-7 seconds later was in the back of the net from the Stetcher point shot that Knies tipped. So no + for Rielly there but good team play results in a goal.

    – Stecher would return the favour on goal #3 when he came off and Rielly got on to get a +, but like… neither were really apart of that goal – that was all the Knies beast mode play that Matthews finished off.

    – Then the game ends with the empty netter which I don't believe Rielly took a shift for the last 2-3 mins of the game so he wasn't on to collect any +; but shows his willingness to be a team player (we've known this though so nothing new).

All that to say, if you're going to roast him because of a bad game, you should at least honourable mention him when he has a good one. We do the same with Matthews or Nylander.
