Worth a look.
No shit is the same Detroit Lions the good ole Fords
Some awful takes here. Blough could be an offensive gem for all we know and is highly regarded by Dan so yes, we should interview him. Doesnβt mean we hire him, but if you know people and like their pedigree then you of course consider them just like you would for any job in any industry (personal connections are huge in getting considered for any position). You can still make an outside hire but before you officially hire someone you create a pool of qualified candidates and interview each of them. Itβs the first guy to interview for OC too so relax guys. Complete overreaction to this announcement with you trying to connect dots and make too many assumptions based on us simply doing our due diligence in wanting to chat with David Blough.
What have any of these OCs won?
D was garbage
This familiarity hires has been the Lions for 40 years. It's what they do
Yeah they hit the nail on the head, STOP DOING WHATS COMFORTABLE! Real change doesnβt happen until things get uncomfortable
ππYou have NOT won anything since 1957 this is not a place where coaches are jumping out windows to come to the Detroit Lions ππ
Who is this strawman you're creating to argue against? Not one Lions fan is saying we needed to keep Morton because there is nobody else in the world that could be a better OC than him.
Where's your offensive line? Toys don't work without one…. Detroit Lions grit, culture. All failed.. NO SUPERBOWL APPEARANCES
How many SUPERBOWL have you WON going on 4th down ππππ
No Maz not 50 more like 70
The Lions are in a 2 or 3 year window to go to the Super Bowl, so they can do this in 2 flavors:
Either a): bring in an OC who knows what he's doing, and who can work with (and around) Goff, or b): get on the plane to BaltimoreβοΈπ, and hire the guy who's done it all, and bring him in to run the whole shebang…π€
That's it…Chicago and Green Bay are only gonna get better with time….π€
#NoLoyaltyInThisGame
You haven't won since 1957 and the "CULTURE" is there ππππππππππ
itβs so over
ABSOLUTELY FUCKING STUPID
No more of this buddy buddy crap and the familiar faces for the LIONS, Let's get someone new and good for offensive coordinator.
we are so cooked
Kliff needs a mobile qb
I would love the Blough hire. Start with him as OC with Dan calling plays and transition David to the primary caller like they did with Ben Johnson.
My dream would be, itβs not going to happen, is John Harbaugh is taking a gap year from being a head coach, and comes to take over the DC position for a year to teach and mold Shep for shep to then take back over after Harbaugh gets a head coaching job. Harbaugh will likely be the giants head coach within a week though.
To many fucken cry babies in Woodward
Why do we think the offense was so bad it needs to be completely blown up. Do we trust the head coach or not? After DC took over play calling the offense started to look functional again. No one knew who Ben Johnson was before the Lions made him OC. Calm down.
To much credit to Flores, we had no line to protect Goff. Made his defense look that good-overrated!
Wait…. McDaniels is going to need a job…
The OC is important.. that being said. We averaed over 28 points per game. The problem is the defense and the inability to sustain long time consuming drives.
Fired Giants head coach, one time offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills, Brian Daboll. Campbell knows him from working with him in Miami.
Blough has zero experience, he's not even the quarterbacks coach he's the assistant quarterbacks coach. He might be applying for a coaching position and Rapaport is confused about what position he's interviewing for.
Overreaction city here. They're interviewing a guy. Not giving him the keys to the city. Re fucking lax.
The people bitching about this but suggestion Kingsbury is just proof how fucking dumb this fanbase has become.
Crossing my fingers its just the newer bandwagons.
Shela's choice. Its a ford
Hire John Harbough
