"The Browns started 13 different quarterbacks during his tenure, including seven over the past two seasons."
It's one thing for Reddit dolts and the media to justify the firing because of 8 wins in the last 2 years. It's absolutely obviously WHY they only won 8 games.
But for the owner to quote 8 wins and not understanding why??
He's an idiot, and this franchise is dead. Absolutely dead.

We’re fucked until we have new ownership, or Jimmy cleans house and then stays tf out of operations.
I miss Kevin and hate that Berry is still here. The only silver lining to this is that Berry is picking the next head coach. If he fails then he’s gone and if he succeeds then we get to see more than 5 wins a season again. Either way, Jimmy is still the owner and we can only pray that his admittance of Watson being a “big swing and a miss” means he might finally take a step back from thinking he knows anything about football.
Why the fuck does AB still have a job. Oh wait I know, he gets one good draft class and he’s basically the Haslams yes man so yeah.
If Kevin is HC again I wonder if O’Shea will be his OC and Joe Woods his DC
I’m confused on the amount of Stefanski defenders. Wasn’t it just in November, every single person on here wanted him fired? What changed between now & then?
Remember all that hope we had after Bakers rookie year when we finished 7-8-1 and we had a bunch of cap space and draft picks? Then all the hope we had after the 2020 season when we made the playoffs and actually beat Pittsburgh in the wildcard?
Remember that?
Pepperidge farm remembers.
That all feels like it was 20-years ago now honestly.
What an absolute trainwreck the Watson trade turned into.
Hate to say it but as much as I despise Art Model he at least put a competitive team on the field.
It was embarrassingly tone deaf. What a piece of crap the owners are.
Mmm I think it’s a little different. I think the owner said at the beginning of 24, look I fucked up. We’re clean slate moving forward. You’re not held accountable for anything that happened before we know, and we know we’re not winning the superbowl in 25. We just need to see the team trending in the right direction.
This is why in his press conference the owner only spoke about 25 for Berry and 25 for stef, and the only conversation was around “we didn’t see enough growth from things stef had control over”. Maybe that was Gabriel, maybe that was sanders. Maybe that was any of the offensive players, maybe it was special teams. Maybe it was losing to the titans and the jets.
But while there was a fuck ton against him, you can’t say that stef was the best version of himself this last year. I don’t know what you saw this year that would make you confident that he would be the best coach in 26. Again, he didn’t need to be top 5 or turn Gabriel (supposedly Kevin’s pick) or sanders into pro bowlers year 1, you just can’t be 32/32 for everything for multiple years.
Vince fucking Lombardi could not win more games with 7 QBs in 2 seasons. We truly are a doomed franchise and I am still baffled. It’s literally a league designed for parity. Teams are just not supposed to suck this bad for the fuckin long…
Everyone knows the oline needed to be rebuilt for 2 years. Conklin should not have signed here or should have been cut a while ago. Can’t be Berry’s fault correct? Isn’t Berry responsible for getting the picks to Houston for Watson?
I’m sure the Flacco trade tank job that he didn’t get on board with didn’t help his cause.
Haslam said going into the season Watson was a swing and a miss and it would take some time to dig out of. But at the end of the year the coach is gone and he’s now saying “its easy for him to say there’s enough talent on the team to have won more games”. Which is it? We’re either good enough to contend, in which case his comments at the beginning of the year don’t make sense, or we’re very much still digging out of the hole they made, in which case blaming the coach doesn’t make sense.
I also don’t think Stef wanted out like some people are saying, because if he did why not just say it was a mutual decision both parties should move on?
Whole thing is just dumb, top to bottom. AB is now in the position where he HAS to bat 1000 or things are likely to be blown up in a year or 2. Has to nail the HC pick and each pick in the top 100 along with the presumably sizable number of FAs needed to assemble an OL. I just don’t see it happening.
As I have said many times, Watson broke Kevin. He never throws anyone under the bus, but being forced to play him even when everyone could see he had lost it, was the end.
Watson trade fucked us. It’s going to take almost 5 more years to recover from that trade. Draft picks, and cap space. Hell, there’s still the threat of the fucker coming back and playing next season….
Backed themselves into a corner promising Myles Garrett no complete rebuild. Now they can only hire someone who’ll agree to keep vast portions of the staff. So it’s Schwartz or Rees.
Whoever decided to abandon Baker Mayfield after drafting him #1 overall and pushing all the Browns chips in on DeShawn Watson after the revelations came to light ought to have been fired instead of Stefanski.
And the worst part? No matter what else you change there is still no short term solution at quarterback on the horizon. We don’t have a quarterback on the roster, there are no great options in free agency, and we’re not gonna be able to draft the guy this year.
We are still a few more shitty years away from possibly finding the guy and turning this thing around.
Berry and Haslem are a joke. Any sports fan with any sort of knowledge could see the dismantling of the offense, the removing of ANY veteran QB, ignored offensive line, bad WR’s….etc. Stefanski had no chance of succeeding.
Every year I try to care less and less about this team. It doesn’t work but I try
We had a HC and QB and blew it all up for a piece of shit. Haslam gets what he deserves.
Shame we don’t.
Here’s the part that people don’t pay attention to when they mention how many QBs have played: injuries and situations. The reason why we played that many QBs is because Baker (2 game), Watson (most of the games), DTR (whatev) all missed time. Brissett started 11 games because Watson already came to the team suspended.
You had Driskell and Zappe each play a week 18 garbage start, plus the couple games Keenum filled in for Baker that one season. PJ Walker filled in 1-1 games. That’s 4 QBs for 6 starts.
The QBs Stefanski ***really*** had to work with besides Baker and Watson were…
1. Brissett (played decently well in 2022, and this year in ARZ for that matter)
2. Flacco (goated)
3. Winston (snow game memories for life)
4. Gabriel
5. Sanders
So 7 legit different QBs in 6 seasons coaching. In reality, if he had lived up to his hiring it would’ve worked with Baker. After that failed, he maybe could’ve made it work with Watson seeing as the guy was fully healthy by 2024. The last 2 years it was already over – he was a lame duck.
I’m still okay with moving on from Baker. Baker was never going to put us above Mahomes, Allen, etc…
That was the whole reason for the trade. Baker can play amazing… but he always seemed to let us down when we needed it most…
Mortgaging the entire future on Watson was beyond idiotic…
You can’t just make this shit up!
