  1. This should not have been a penalty shot what so ever or a penalty it’s just a simple poke check. Mcjesus is turning into Tom Brady with penalties in the nhl.Celebrini is better than you

  2. curious, if he tripped him there instead, and took a bad tumble into goalie, or something else. Is that like an intent to injure tripping call (with penalty shot)?

  3. Why was a penalty shot rewarded ? Because it's a subjective call that refs frequently mess up. Did he prevent 97 from getting a clean attempt ? Absolutely. Was it a penalty shot ? Probably not. I guarantee the same people whining about mcdavid getting this are the same crowd that whined when Bedard took a wicked slash on the hands on clear cut breakaway and didn't get the call. Bedard mouthed off and took an unsportsmanlike. People complained that Bedard should just shut up. Refs screw up this call all the time…have for years.
