  1. This move only slightly makes sense if they sign either Bichette or Bregman – they HAVE to find a legit bat to help protect PCA. When Tucker was healthy and raking, PCA was a beast. Once Tucker got hurt, PCA was never the same. He's just not that front line All Star yet.

  2. The next big move the Cubs should make is bringing in Bo Bichette on a contract with multiple opt outs because he will balance out the left handed heavy lineup. Shaw moves into a super utility role and is athletic enough to help out in the OF.

  3. Go sign Bo for what the market dictates and sign Bellinger to a 3-year deal for around 70 mil. Bring back Suzuki and Ballesteros to rotate at DH. Our starting pitching is solid until Steele comes back and just keep stacking good arms in the bullpen.

  4. I would hope that the Cubs would sign a major bat with the large amount of money they still have left under the tax threshold. But I will believe it when I see it because last year after they signed Tucker, they didn’t do anything except give Bellinger away. They needed to make another move. We will see what they do.

  5. ITS about Freaking time Dont STOP NOW go get a good Power Hitter they knew that had to do Something CUBS CONVENTION is around the Corner and their going to Catch Hell from The FANS. Take That!!!!!

  6. Trading your top prospect for a injury prone pitcher who had a 3.50 era last year and who has pitched 100+ innings once is just plain stupid. I never want to see that butcher Suzuki in right field ever again.

  7. 5+ Pitches that all tunnel together. He will sit around 97. Pray for his health..Owen Cassie is gonna be an All Star Yankee or Dodger 1 day soon. Edward Cabrera can give you the best Sp in baseball 2 of the next 3 years. For 2 million. Guess they really did believe in Alcantara more. Listen when Kap tells ya the hard truths

  8. Who was it that said Cubs are higher on Alcantara than Owen Cassie because the K Rate? Got some blowback? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Js Kap when you break something in the spring from now on I'm done arguing

  9. Caissie is not a proven major league hitter yet, so I understand the trade. That said, trading a young bat for pitcher with an injury history makes me nervous.

  10. I’m going with Alex Bregman being signed. I would absolutely welcome that and then you trade Nico Hoerner and get yourself another pitcher, whether that’s a starter or a closer. But Alex Bergman would be at the top of my list to increase your offense.

  11. I figured you'd have an opinion on this Cubs trade, Kap, from the moment it was 99% about to happen pending physicals as reported on Carmen and Jurko this morning πŸ’―πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ

  12. the fact jed traded for a nice starting pitcher always goes to my point. Does jed hoyer has his flaws we may not like? yes. But I always said for the past couple years, outside of 2024, at least he's been TRYING to build a world series team for the fans. I always said I think he may have a eash to what he really can go to by one man only, TOM RICKETTS. I'll always said tom ricketts is the bigger problem to this franchise and fans. Jed since 2023 offseason wasn ice. 2024, did get shota and took a chance on getting a nice manager. 2025 he really worked. Then in 2026 this and possibly more. Few in herem ay not want to hear it but ill always say jed may not be the biggest prbolem. Its tom ricketts with money issues thats the problem to why we act like a mid market franchise.

  13. Need to go out and get somebody for the outfield then to replace Cassie. Go out and get Bellinger, Bichette or perhaps Tucker. They have to make another move to compensate for what they just gave up.
