I’m not a huge Trae fan, but turning Poole into Trae without giving up any real assets is a no-brainer from the FO. Really hope they shut him down and continue the tank. A top 3 pick in this draft is imperative, even more so with Trae on board.

the downside is not in the pieces you give up, but in the style of play and how you now have to run everything through Trae
he plays no defense. so itās 4 against 5 on the defensive side of the court.
but, DC is a great place for Trae to pad his stats the way Jordan Poole did, except Trae will be more consistent on a nightly basis and is a much much better passer than Poole.
all in all though, if it is just McCollum and Kispert and no picks ..
then, itās a great deal for both teams.
