  1. I think the dream scenario would be the Rams win the SB and Stafford retires on top, then they trade for Burrow. But idk, I feel Stafford wants to keep playing. Only thing that worries me is if the niners somehow get Burrow.

  2. well, the first order of business is this:
    is Stafford coming back?
    If Matt Stafford is gonna play for another year or two, then we pass on Joe Burrow because you don’t want to chase the MVP out of the league, especially when you don’t have to give up a ton of draft picks to keep him
    Then it comes down to the injuries Joe Burrow sustained on a regular basis
    I’m personally not worried about that because he gets beat up to hell in Cincinnati and the Rams will protect him much better cause they have a much better offensive line and it’s young and it’ll be there for a while.
    So on that aspect, giving up two first round picks this year and the first round pick next year would be small price to pay for Joe Burrow. This would lock in our offense for years to come, and we would still have a handful of draft picks to concentrate on defense after the first round.
    And this is a draft is very heavy with safeties
    We also can pick up a couple of opportunities in free agency and there’s going to be a couple of really good cornerbacks available including one from Seattle
    As far as being able to get him, I don’t know if Joe Burrow has a no trade clause but if he does, he’s gonna have some control over what team he wants to go to
    And if he’s being given a choice between Minnesota or Pittsburgh and the Rams, which team do you think you’d pick?
    He would be a fool not to pick the Rams
    And I don’t think that Cincinnati is gonna want to send him to Pittsburgh
    And Davante Adams made us decide to stay another year if we got Joe Burrow, even if Stafford left
    And remember if Stafford and Devante both retire, we’re gonna save about $70 million on the cap space
    So taking the hit for Burrows contract would not be the problem. People might think it would be.
    my final statement on the subject is simply this
    If Coach McVay and Les Snead have a shot of getting Joe Burrow, you know they’re gonna pull the trigger

  3. I predicted this months ago! I have multiple witnesses to the fact that Burrow would likely be a prime target for the Rams with two first round picks. The other candidate would be Herbert. So this is old news to me and everyone scoffed when I talked about it months ago.

  7. I want Stafford to stay a couple more years. I would not want to sour what we have right now, Stafford already said in an interview earlier this year saying he's looking forward to taking his family to the Australia game next season.

    He's staying folks, let's not get greedy now. However if we win it all and he pulls the plug I say go all in.

  18. Yes , after they win the Super Bowl , Stafford retires and then Les will trade their 2 number ones for Burrow!
