  1. Matt, I've been a Warriors fan since 1965!!!, so no Kings rooter. But you are one podcast guy I love to watch. Your passion for your team and your intelligent basketball analysis has been a real pleasure to watch. You remind us all of what it means to be a fan of a team. YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!!!!!!

  2. Bro, you’re better than the NBA! Do euro league or anything else. The NBA is complete trash and you deserve to be reporting on good, honest, basketball! Thanks for your great work, I hope you find something that deserves your talent. Much love and respect 🙌

  3. Wishing you the best, Matt. We watched all that we could and you were definitely locked in with the Kings; so made it easy for true fans to feel connected to the Kings community by listening to your reporting.

  4. The timing of this couldn't make it more obvious what's next. I'd bet money it'll be something officially announced on Sacramento radio tomorrow, and he'll be back on YouTube, live Monday at 10AM

  5. I remember running into you at Willie's burgers last year, and I was a lil buzzed from Urban…I said loudly…Locked on Kings! You were cool, completely honest, and informative, same as you always are on the show. Good luck on your future endeavors!

  6. Shoot Matt, thank you for your commitment to this organization. The hawks game in November finally made me stop watching after 9 years watching 82/82. I hope this team turns around and my hats off to you for doing this for as long as you have. Take care brother, I wish you the best with all of your endeavors.

  7. I hate national sports media. Always disrespecting my teams (Kings, Raiders A’s). Locked on is how I respond and you have been so quality.

You kept it Raw. You kept it real. Anyone can root for the Lakers. It takes someone special to root for the Kings. You’ve been with it through out. Good luck with the next move in your life.

It was great to meet you a couple weeks ago in person the selfie means more to me now.

Hope to run into you at the stadium again sometime. I’ve had a blast listening over the years. Thank you Matt. Thank you a lot!

  8. Shots out from Thailand Matt I've been watching you the last 3 years you slowly grew on me at first I didn't really like the show but then later I started watching every day or after every game the next day. You help me learn so much about basketball and how it works I thank you I wish you good luck and I'm sad to see you go

  9. Dafaq. I thought the title was just click bait. Watched it until the very end expecting (or hoping) him to say "just kidding." So sudden. This feels like Mike Brown all over again 🫤

  10. I was worried this was the news you were hinting at the last couple of episodes. I'm really sad to see you go Matt, but I appreciate all that you've done for us! It's not going to be the same without you. Good luck with everything you do going forward. Please keep the idea open of coming back to YouTube again in some capacity! You'll always have a fan here.

  11. Wow!!! This channel will never be the same. I started watching Matt a few years back when my thunder finally beat the kings after losing to them like 8 times straight cause I wanted to hear some insight on his thoughts about that young Thunder team and I’ve stay locked in because I just love the way Matt analyzes the game overall even when my Thunder aren’t involved. This sucks. Best of luck Matt! You will be missed man

  12. Noooo Matt! As a spurs fan, I’ve been rooting for the Kings since 2023 and you’ve been a big part of that. Appreciate all your effort, passion, and dedication. I hope to continue to hear your opinions in some fashion moving forward

  13. I just wanted to send a quick message to say thank you.
I’ve been listening for a long time now — all the way from Sydney, Australia — and your voice, the intro, and the Locked On Kings rhythm have genuinely become part of our daily life. To the point where even my kids recognise your voice and the intro music when it comes on in the evenings. That’s pretty special.
I always thought that one day I’d finally make it over to a Kings game and get to see you there in person, after hearing you talk about it so often on the pod. So hearing this news is definitely bittersweet as a Kings fan. Bitter because you’re leaving and you’ll be missed, but sweet because life changes, and it’s clear you’re moving on to bigger and better things.
I just wanted you to know how much your work has meant — not just for the insight and passion, but for the consistency and connection you brought day after day. Wishing you and your family nothing but the very best in whatever comes next. You’ve got fans cheering you on from the other side of the world.
Thanks for everything — and go Kings

  14. Best of luck to you and your family moving forward. Now you can just sit back and enjoy Kings basketball. I know it’s not easy, but you’re a fan now. So enjoy it. Will miss your insight, but I wish you well. Godspeed.

  15. While I’m not a Kings fan, I genuinely enjoyed listening to one of their biggest homers. Your passion was obvious, and I wish you nothing but success in all your future endeavors.
