  1. He started 502 consecutive games in net. A record that will almost certainly never be broken.

  2. One of the most unbreakable records in sports (if not THE most). 502 games in a row. Unreal. No wonder he was Mr. Goalie.

  3. Awww man, sorry to read this! Truly a Blackhawks legend and an all-time hockey great.

I’m sure he will be discussed much tonight in both the Hawks and Blues broadcasts.

What a life he lived, RIP Mr. Goalie.

  4. We’d better see a “1” crest behind the goalie nets next season. RIP.

  5. May the Hawks replace the Circa Sports jersey patch with a commemorative patch for Mr. Goalie.

  6. He can finally take a break from painting the barn.

Ironman, Cup winner, and innovator. Glenn Hall invented the butterfly style and is largely ignored despite being the grandfather of modern goaltending. He was also part of one of the greatest goalie duos of all time when he partnered with Jacques Plante in St. Louis and nearly won the cup in their first season.

  7. Did a book report on him in grade school. Incredible career, 502 consecutive starts, plenty of hardware. Hawks have been fortunate to have some great goalies in their history.

  8. Last member of the 61 cup Champions im pretty sure. RIP Mr Goalie. Iron Man on and off the ice.

  9. He threw up before and sometimes during most games he played because of anxiety, crazy to me considering how elite he was. RIP to Mr. Goalie.

  10. Wow. So sad to hear this. May he rest in peace and his name and legacy continue to live on in the rafters
