Worth mentioning, JA and Mobley have only played together in 22 of our 38 games. We are thr 9th best rebounding team in the league… do not trust the doomers in this sub.

  1. Idk if rebounding is as important as people make it out to be. I’m pretty sure the Pacers were one of the worst teams at rebounding last year

  2. Don’t believe the doomers but definitely don’t watch last postseason or the postseason before that…

  3. its not overall rebounding that people worry about as much as the crucial moments where we NEED a rebound

  4. You have to look at stats on a per possession basis. On that basis, we are 15th in the league in both offensive and defensive rebounding, per [Cleaning the Glass](https://cleaningtheglass.com/stats/team/6/team#tab-four_factors).

This is actually better or equal to last year, but our big step back has been in offensive efficiency (1st to ~10th) and defensive efficiency (~6th to ~11th). But if last year does turn out to be an anomaly offense wise, then we will have to make up for it in other aspects (e.g., rebounding).

  5. You are ignoring a lot of context, and the fact that this team sucks at rebounding in late game situations as I showed you before.

But even 9th is disappointing for starting two 7 footers

  6. We are 9th in offensive rebounds and 13th in defensive rebounding (9th overall).

It’d be interesting to see 4th quarter rebound stats. Idk how to find them, though.

  7. That’s not very good. We’re supposed to be one of the best front courts in the NBA.
