So lets say the steelers beat houston next monday and end up in the superbowl a few weeks from now and win it.
Three questions:
Does aaron rodgers come back next season/ does tomlin get the job for life?
Do more big names want to come to pittsburgh and play with rodgers?
Also does matt lafleur get fired for jumping the shark and moving on from rodgers too soon?

If we win the Super Bowl, Tomlin stays as long as he wants to
If Aaron wins SB, he retires on top with the storybook ending.
Tomlin can do whatever he wants to do.
My aunt would be my uncle if…
1. Rodger will retire
And yes tomlin could if he wanted to stay forever but i could also see him calling it quits not much longer from now
2. If he would stay and were seen as a actual contender I could see it happening
3. Not at all, sure they coulda stayed with Rodger’s but Jordan love is a great player and he got to start younger then he would have making his prime longer
If we beat Houstons’ defense next week, the sky is the limit. If we make it to the Superbowl, Tomlin is a lifer for sure. Rodgers will come back but is still a bandaid on a bullet wound but definitely buys time with the base. But… watching teams like the Patriots, Seahawks and Eagle that have turned their franchises around in the time since we won a superbowl is something to be reticent about moving forward long term.
I would assume he retires with an ugly loss or a SB ring. I think anything in between entices him to run it back.
You are forgetting my favorite possibility:
He beats the Bears in the Super Bowl and legally adopts the city of Chicago to be their official dad.
Check out r/Texans. Their fans think this game is no more than a preseason scrimmage.
Rodgers definitely retires in that circumstance. He isn’t psychotic like Brady. So you don’t get big names coming to play with Rodgers, however I do think you get them to play for once-again-winning-against-all-odds-or-sense Tomlin. Which is some crow I would happily eat.
And who gives a shit about Lafleur?
Loss to Texans and the do not re-sign him for next year.
Tomlins secured the I can do whatever position, and well Rodgers. Gorgeous wife, millions of dollars, r e t I r e
Rodgers retires. Tomlin becomes a HOFer and coaches the Steelers for another decade, at least. LaFluer is safe. He developed Love into a franchise QB.
If Steelers win superbowl Rodgers retires as he’ll want to go out on top.
Tomlin keeps job for as long as he wants.
LaFleur, I don’t know why you decided to mention him, as it was clearly the front office that wanted to move on from Rodgers, not LaFleur.
It feels like he wants to be here. We need to get a better WR outside of DK. Put Calvin in the slot. Could be really dangerous with Aaron.
Anything can happen on, everyone together now, any given Sunday.
zero chance he come back if they go SB. maybe if they get to semi final
We would all get in line on our knees and get to sucking them off, then we would repeat next year
Rodgers wins the Superbowl. He and Tomlin both announce their retirements. The Steelers hire John Harbaugh, who had already made a deal with Rooney and agreed to wait.
I think Aaron for sure retires if they win a bowl, if he makes it all the way to the AFC championship and loses, he probably comes back. They lose first round, he considers all options.
Manning road off into the sunset with another team.
Brady road off into the sunset with another team.
Please let Rodgers do the same…
rodgers retires on top
Rodgers 100% rides off into the sunset, double birds up to everyone.
I think Tomlin would leave too tbh. No better way to end it here. At least for a season or two before he’s back on the sidelines—bro is like a decade younger than harbaugh which is batshit to even think about
Y’all don’t think Tomlin retires on top too?
I would bet that Aaron is gone regardless. I think that scramble on Sunday where he tried to run for it on 3rd down and immediately knew he couldn’t make it might have been the moment he realized he was too old for next year.
I think Rodger’s will retire, especially if they win. There’s the potential they entice him back with a R1 WR in the draft- and if they do that kid better be living at Rodger’s house all summer.
I do not think Rodger’s entices people, but people aren’t going to want long term contracts knowing Rodger’s may only be there one more season.
Lefluer made the right call on Rodgers. Packers always seem to have knack for when to live on since Brett Favre.
If Steelers win Super Bowl Tomlin goes to tv, Rodgers retires, and the Steelers are the next top destination coaching spot.
If Rodgers goes to the Super Bowl, win or lose, I think that’s it for him. Just getting there is obviously very, very difficult. If he wins the SB, I think he absolutely retires. If he loses the SB, I think he thinks long and hard and although it’s not the perfect ending to a career, it’s probably the next best thing.
If we win the Super Bowl Tomlin should retire and then half this sub needs to eat shit for the rest of their days.
Super Bowl = certain retirement (I think)
Tomlin will have the job until it goes off the rails for multiple very bad years
No since he will retire
Lafluer status not tied to Rodgers, more tied to how he does against a suddenly stronger division
Steelers get the SB in a rematch vs Green Bay, Rodgers gets the ultimate revenge win and rides off. Tomlin stays until ♾️
See above, but still affects more players wanting to play for the franchise/Mike T.
LaFleur gets shit for moving Rodgers but ultimately getting to the SB buys him more years.
They need to run a hurry up offense every quarter. Feels like they move the ball best when they do that.
Everyone is giving predictions but what if steelers win super bowl. Tomlin retires and rodgers takes over as the head coach?? Hows that for a bad take?
I mean. What if ARod got to play GB or CHI in the bowl?
I would love to see Tomlin and Rodger’s run it back. Might be a hot take on this sub lol but Rodger’s barely was with the team for camp I feel like after a season of meshing and a full off season to work out again the chemistry would be full tilt. We don’t have a ton of big free agents other than Rodger’s and Gainwell. Assuming we can resign them I don’t think it would be too hard draft/trade/sign missing pieces specifically receivers. I love this team
I’d say beat Houston first
Slow down.

Tommy Maddox is the GOAT, can’t believe he’s still playing in the league these days, go win that SB for us Tommy, make em MADdox! 😤
Go back and listen to the post game conference from the LA game. A reporter asks him something along the lines of if he was emotional that this would be his last game in California. He responds with southern California. The Super Bowl is in San Francisco. Here We Go boys.
