Is there ANY scenario where we can keep him after this year?
He really stepped up
He should be on the starting lineup (probably over CB), dude has deserved it and it also makes sense practicality wise. Two way menace and a shot creator? Maybe this is a case of “my steak is too juicy and my lobster too buttery” but I do think our starting lineup would be unstoppable with him and everyone healthy.
Front office is gonna have to make some tough decisions unless he falls off soon. The question is are they going to try something at the deadline or wait the rest of the season out?
I hope we figure out how to keep him. I bought his jersey his rookie year as kind of a joke and I have zero regrets, he’s been An amazing player to watch develop.
Does he start over Cam or CB when everyone is healthy?
Gonna be some uncomfortable braun vs watson conversations..
CB and Pwat are different positions, but the FO definitely prioritized CB resign over Pwat
To be fair, Kroenkes said they aren’t afraid of the tax, I’m not into the idea of trading CB or Cam like the majority here. Cam had a slow start, but he does a lot of the small things right it’s no fluke that he’s gone as the highest +/- for a couple of his latest games. Also imma let CB get his rust off, this is his first big injury.
Still a lot of season left but this FO (yes even kroenke) hasn’t given any signs of planning cheapen out the next years of jokic’s prime.
They’re defense has been lock and key since the great injuring
He’s getting a bag.
He is a restricted free agent, the Nuggets can match any offer. It’s just a question of tax and second apron consequences.
