Just feel bad he ended up in ATL instead of a real team
His statement about the trade was very professional and encouraging, lot of praise for the organization. Early on I was like “this dude is washed” but he ended up alright and that 50 burger was fun. Good luck CJ!

Wild I went to the hawks game last month wanting to see Trae young play in person now he’s on the team and I see him all the time I expect our young guys to improve he’s a special passer

Hmm… This is interesting, just when the Wiz were on a hot streak, they trade their best player for a guy who hasn’t played for most of the season. Guess the Wiz were playing too good, huh? And it looks like the hawks made up their mind to dump Trae last summer, when they decided not to offer him a contract extension…
**Trae Young** has only played in **10 games** during the 2025–26 regular season. Young has missed many games this season mainly because of injuries, which most notably include a recent right quad contusion, and an earlier sprained right MCL. He missed a long stretch of **22‑games**, after suffering a sprained right MCL.

I guess thanks for building up your trade value, although this still just feels like a lateral move? Weren’t a ton of other bad contracts to absorb into the cap space I suppose.
