I completely understand the move, but with McGroarty heading to IR it also feels like bad timing
Makes sense, Malkin is back and Koivunen is better off playing in the AHL over sitting in the press box.
Curious that this only leaves them with a 22 man roster, I don’t think they need to be running with a 23 man roster but I wonder if they add someone else to fill out the roster.
Also WBS has 9 games in the next 17 days, it definitely makes more sense for him to be playing in the AHL over sitting in the NHL. He’ll be back up if there is an injury.
I hope this helps him out. I still think he has a bright future in hockey
perfect time to get some work in
It will all work out. Koivunen is an NHL player. There will be more room in the lineup next year.
He doesn’t have to clear waivers, it’s a no-brainer. Let him play a ton, especially with moving out Tomasino
Absolutely stoked to watch Koivenen back in WBS. We’ve been missing him sorely since he left.
With Koivunen and McGroarty out, and only Malkin back, I guess Hayes re-enters the lineup?
I don’t mind this. He needs minutes
Needs to work on his foot speed. Buddy has bad boots
Sounds about right
I’m happy about this. He can come back up when injuries happen. We need to keep our youth playing confident hockey.
Aside from Kindle this really hasn’t been the development year everyone thought it would be.
