Honestly I’d be fine with him as head coach. Maybe not ecstatic but at least we could rest easy knowing a guy who knows how to develop a young quarterback is at the helm
Of course you bring him in for an interview. The problem is they (Spytek) should not be hiring OC. That should be up to incoming HC.
He’s going be the HC. Book it.
We should offer him the head coach position. He’s too good to settle for an offensive coordinator role on a team that’s rebuilding. The only places he’d agree to be an offensive coordinator are Philadelphia or Detroit.
Unpopular opinion: HC
McDaniel would be a really good OC but based off the interview candidates so far, it seems like the team is eyeing an offensive play calling HC and I doubt McDaniel goes to a team where he wouldn’t really call plays. Maybe if we hire Webb, but I think it’s more likely he goes to the commanders or whoever hires Shula or Hafley
I guess we know where harbaugh is going lol
But I’d be down as McDaniel as head coach, he got dealt a bad hand in miami and has won at least 7 games every year in miami. Look at how he got tua slinging before his injuries

With the guys available in this coaching cycle I could easily see Mcdaniels getting another head coaching gig.

He is a better HC candidate than many of the people we have interviewed. Webb OC with McDaniel would have me HYPED.
I don’t think he is any better at OC than what we have had in the past, just my thoughts.

I like McDaniels, I think he’s smart and a great offensive mind plus I find him fucking hilarious. Has experience and imagine what he could do with Brock and Jeanty? Give him a WR1 and he would cook with a young Mendoza.

I think he will have interest from other teams for HC. So why would he be an OC with the raiders. Tua is seen as the major problem there. They should try to interview him for the HC job and let him hire his coordinators.

Not as OC. He would get poached next year and would be left hanging with Vance, Flores or Saleh flailing and hurting our potential rookie QB
