You can still watch him in Atlanta
Hahaha. I get it, when AD plays the 5 with Cooper the team look good. When he plays the 4 it’s not fun or good basketball. I am in the camp of I’d like to see what the team is like with AD Kyrie Cooper and we can’t tank / suck next few years so why trade him when we aren’t getting fair value back (if you can’t get the NOP pick).
But I get the injury concerns and contract demands so I get it.
u like watching him after this kings game??
Words can’t describe how bad I want him off this team. If it came down to keeping him or 4 2nd round picks, I’m taking the picks.
It’s just not financially viable.

To bad he rarely plays basketball
Yes all 6 games have been great so far!
If he were reliably healthy then this wouldn’t be an issue or discussion, but there’s no telling when he’s going to be out for the rest of the season. I want someone else to have to deal with that
You must not watch much cause he’s always fucking hurt
So you don’t like watching basketball often, got it.
I’m not for trading him on the cheap, I’m even open to extending him (so long as he’s cool with playing the 5 whenever Coop’s on the floor); what I’m not cool with (and I think this is the fan consensus at this point) is extending him for more than say 140/4 and even that is predicated on him waiving his player option and that year being part of the 4.
“Have a seat”
I like the Mavs winning and the idea of winning a championship.
This team will not win it all and has no shot. It is best to trade between assets to get younger and active a higher ceiling.
You can watch AD in a different uniform
I don’t give a fuck anymore about any of it

Nah
I find him to be lazy and maddening to watch. He is also very skilled and absolutely a giant.
I honestly wish there was some way to shut him down for the year and work on his body and then come back next year when we have a lottery pick and Kyrie. That’s just a dream world though lol
He hasn’t played more than 5 games in a row for Dallas…
I did watch the nets game in person and it was pretty cool seeing the size we had with AD and Coop on the court together. Just the injury risk and outsized contract extension issues.

You aren’t alone. Look I am cool with trading AD as long as its for the Pels pick. I genuinely dont think getting Zachary and a Cleveland pick projected to be in the 20s is worth AD at all. I would understand if we could rebuild for couple years but we cant so I dont understand what the point of trading him is.

Only if we get first round picks in return.
