    There was almost no movement on the tank last night, BUT I will say that I’m very impressed with what Portland has done this year.

  3. Last night feels like a dream but I think there were some things that should be pointed out

    Egor even when not having a loud game is rarely a negative on the floor because of his iq and his feel for the game, even when not shooting it the whole game he’s still on the other side playing defense and being a good connector. He just knows how to move and relocate on the floor so well and is really good at anticipating on the defense side. Also surprised at how good he is vertically.

    The two lineups yesterday have no chemistry, I’ll mostly focus on the second unit but the starters last night looked like they were confused at the play they were running at times. That second unit hasn’t looked good since their first game when cam came back. It’s mostly cam ball and the rookies sitting around waiting to see what he does. Now I actually don’t think this is cams fault but rather a consequence of what happens when put 3 rookies who can be timid at times next to a guy who only wants to put shots up, it’s almost like a parasitic relationship, they are timid when he does give them the ball so they get it back to him which is when he goes to his happy place and puts up more shots.

    Danny wolf my god, he needs to rub the rookie wall in the words of Kidd, he’s surprisingly good on defense but outside of a few flashes his offense lately is a hard watch

    Jordi had a guy with 30+ points and drew back to back plays for a rookie, wether this is to get his reps in these situations or not Jordi clearly believes in egor a lot and it now makes sense on why he’s harder on him than everyone else. Jordi also put in drake for his defense in the final possessions over Mann which again shows that Jordi really believes in these kids and honestly shows in how much work our rookies have been putting in to earn his trust.

    Our rookies will have ups and downs that’s the most important thing to remember honestly. These guys are 19 years old. Egor needs to hit get stronger so he will struggle against hyper aggressive guards like bane and Davion Mitchel but when he does the sky is the limit, Drakes shot needs to be improved, Nolan needs to be more assertive, Danny needs his confidence again.

  6. Why does Jordi have Egor on the bench and MPJ on the court when on defense during the last possessions of the second half and OT? Seems like it should be reversed.

    End of the second half the Nets had MPJ, Ziaire Williams (makes sense), Drake Powell (makes sense), Day’Ron Sharpe (yep), and Clowney on the floor for defense. They subbed Ziare in for Egor and Powell in for Cam when It probably should have been Ziare and Powell for MPJ and Cam. Then they did again at the end of OT period (Ziare stayed in for Cam for the period, Powell subbed in for Demin for the last play).

    I think Demin would have gotten a better contest on that Banchero three than MPJ would have.
