  1. Honestly? For a team that has consistently shrunk in the playoffs when it mattered- I don't think anyone on this squad can credibly complain about this kind of thing. If there are guys on this team that don't have competitive fire, I don't want them. You're making millions of dollars to WIN, people pay a lot of money to watch you and expect you to WIN. And you're going to belly ache that the QB they brought in was a little too high energy for you? Sounds like you're a little too comfortable in my opinion.

If this report is accurate it's actually quite an indictment of the locker room culture. The team needs to get younger and ditch some of these low energy vets if this is true.

  2. It sure seems the national media loves to rip on JJ, a Michigan alum, that explains a lot. Once the Vikings get a decent O line, they'll see his true potential. GO BLUE!!!

  3. I’d rather have someone who brings fire and brimstone than someone who is there to collect a paycheck. He will have an entire offseason to work and learn, I’m optimistic about the future.

  4. This story highlights that KOC not prioritizing QB1 competition last year was a big mistake.
Vikings still need a starting caliber QB to compete with JJ for QB1. JJ during the GB game certainly didn't prove he was ready.
Stupid for injury prone QB to throw the shoulder at the CB and stiff arm the linebacker. Wreckless.
Time only will tell if he deserves the Andy MVP and HOF labels. Lets hope so.

  5. Loved the stiff arm but the shoulder was dumb and pointless. The defender is established. He got nothing extra out of it and then actually turns it into a negative play by taunting the guy. Get out of bounds.

  6. As a former player, I think what's missing is this:

When you're in team leadership role like JJ is, it's OK to be a rah rah, flexing, "let's go!!!", woof-woof IMA DOG kind of player (a la Ray Lewis), but if you don't deliver, people are going to tired of it. Fast. And guess what? JJ flat out didn't deliver consistently. Way too much barking, not enough biting. So…the bottom line is this: stop throwing INTs, missing open guys and start scoring touchdowns. Then you can woof. It would help if the o-line learned to block, the receivers learned to catch, and KOC could design/call a slant play, but that's another story….

  7. Grew Weary? I'm a 53 year old Vikings fan who last saw our team in a Super Bowl appearance as a 4 1/2 year old. THAT'S WEARY. Maybe a new approach is needed because the last 49 years hasn't produced the right "Approach" either has it?

  8. yeah let's get more boring QBs like Sean Mannion in here instead of guys who want to play and want to be great. He ain't perfect but I like the fire like Baker

  9. Sounds like the people in charge are trying to prepare fans for the upcoming trade of McCarthy. I swear, if we give up on him and he goes somewhere else and is great…
