This HAS NEVER HAPPENED in NHL history

We’ll take a look at tonight’s Winter Classic game between the New York Rangers and Florida Panthers. We’ll cover all that and more on today’s NHL hockey video!

  1. We need Seattle vs San Jose in Fairbanks, Vancouver vs Calgary in Whitehorse, Edmonton vs Winnipeg in Yellowknife, and Boston vs Montreal in Labrador City. I said what I said.

  2. Texas is okay for the outdoor stuff, the cottonbowl was the second most attended winter classic and it was amazing coming from someone who was at the game. but having it in a stadium is the questionable part to me

  3. I kind of like the idea of doing the winter classic in places without an NHL team, at the end of the day the only reason the NHL does these is to get more people into hockey. People also gotta remember the Winter Classic isn't actually a vital piece of hockey history, it literally started 18 years ago. That said, I do agree that it should be in a place where ice naturally occurs. With all that in mind, I think a Winter Classic at Lambeau Field would be cool as hell.

  4. 1: Row 1 needed Binoculars. Even the players said it was weird with ‘No Fans’ at the Glass.
2: People were in Shorts, because it was Pha kin Miami.
    3: The Fake Snow. RUFKM.
4: If they needed that big, Skydome in Toronto, Open would have been awesome. If people could actually see the puck from the front Row smMFh.
5: It’s supposed to really be on a damn POND! or a Lake, Natural ICE. Also, In Pha Kin Canada.

  5. The USA has all these amazing football and baseball stadiums sitting empty for all of January to March (Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Seattle, St.Louis, Boston) I don't understand how these stadiums aren't fighting for games to happen. We need at least one outdoor game a year with snow and seeing hockey players breath.

  6. Eck, you're being silly.

    What's so hard to comprehend?
Stadium Series is not a Winter Classic. Different events with different themes.

Why is there less than 4cm of snow in Winnipeg during October? BECAUSE THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE IS IN THE 50's! (Avg low is 37F). It's usually NOT COLD enough to snow!

  7. Dude, Florida as a state has been to the finals 6 years in a row. Let em have the marquee games outside one time there.

The game is growing there and the event is still great. I do think 2014 and before were honestly the best WC games, but goodness the hate on places where it doesn’t hit -20 F without a wind chill is just annoying. People said the same thing about the cottonbowl WC, it was still good. There is more hockey history outside the NE, Canada, and some of the Midwest. I’m genuinely tired of this same complaining that it is in Florida when they’ve been a more successful state for 6 years than any other state or province. If I hear this one more time man I won’t cry for y’all when the next 3 WC games are just Pittsburgh, Boston, and Chicago. All playing in BFN Nebraska or something

  8. I obviously don't understand what those technicalities were for the hat trick thing, can someone explain again for me? I've rewatched the video like, 3 times and still don't get it.

  9. Winter Classic should always be in the Northern US or Southern Canada. I’m thinking Minnesota, Michigan, Ontario, Alberta, or New York. It’s a classic hockey game. I get we’re trying to grow the sport in the southern US, but playing in Florida outside in 55F+ is just wrong.
