Patriots Insider: There seems to be a ‘confident, relaxed air’ about team entering the playoffs 😮‍💨

Phil Perry joins Mike Felger and Michael Holley on Boston Sports Tonight to react to Mike Vrabel’s comments about the New England Patriots not being satisfied about simply making the playoffs ahead of their Wild Card Round matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The group also preview the game and debate how much of a homefield advantage New England has at Gillette Stadium.

  1. The whole idea of playing NFL football is to win a Super Bowl… I’m sure they’re happy to be there but winning is the ultimate goal every single time🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

  2. The guy asking the questions sounds like he was never a player in any sports in the locker. No one is ever satisfied with what happened in the past.

  3. Felger is a flounder. At the beginning on the year, he questioned Vrable hire, McDaniels hire, Will Campbell arm length and the draft picks. He didn’t give any thought, that all of those were new and may change. He was adamant the pats waisted the year with the decision made. Its hard to listen, believe or like this dude.

  4. I don't want to hear no excuses for the Patriots fans when the Chargers beat the Patriots. I don't want to hear "oh the spirit of Josh Allen gave us goosebumps so NE purposely lost to Chargers."

  5. Food for thought. Only four times in NFL history has a dome team won the Super Bowl. The Rams twice, the Saints and the Colts. The overall stats for warm climate Bowl winning teams since free agency isn't great either.

  6. Felger is dumb asf “is the playoffs going to tell us if the pats need a #1 wr or not”

We all know if the patriots don’t upgrade at wr felger would be the first one to say how bad of a move it would be

  7. Interesting take on dome teams. Let’s introduce some perspective: Pats played zero top ten defenses this year. ZERO. And Maye was still sacked 45 times. Chargers don’t allow many TDs (just ask Nix). They sack QBs (45). They can stop the run. They intercept (19). This same def scheme made Maye look real bad last year and it’s the West coast version of the Ravens’ defense that gave Brady fits. They are a legit defense who can take over games. On the other side of the ball, Herbert wins despite the worst OL in the league and the OL is the only reason talking heads write them off as SB contenders. Three wins against top 10 defenses. Plus their time of possession is ridiculous. And herbert’s stats are not far off Maye’s for the season having played one less game with far more pressures and sacks. Don’t look past the Chargers…you may get struck by lightning.

  8. Can’t look ahead to other matchups…gotta focus on the Chargers execute there…can’t worry about facing other teams till they take care of business on Sunday night…no naps…gotta execute…can’t take Harbaugh and Herbert lightly

  9. That Texans team is not good. What are you watching? This offense doesn't care what defense it faces. The matchup is the Patriots defense against the Chargers offense.

  10. Chargers beat cheifs in 8 degress weather what are these guys talking about and chargers not dome team its open stadium. Embarrasing research from such a big network

  11. The Pats still have to prove they can beat a talented team at year end when every team has had a chance to work on their weaknesses and are at their best.
