  1. I would rather the Hawks just give us the mid 1st rounder than doing all that. The Pelicans have zero incentive to lose the rest of this year. Their rookies could get more confident as the season goes along AND Zion is still on that team. They seem like a prime candidate to go on a "this team looks promising for next year" run at the end of this season.

  2. I love you guys but this is a bad idea. Dont know if you noticed, but when AD is not in the lineup we cant even beat teams like the Kings. The Mavs pick is going to be top 5 if we trade AD.

  3. If we don’t get a deal done NOW then f***it, hold on to everybody, trade the pick AND OUR TRASH for Markkanen and try to make a run over the next four years. That’s all we need.
A big who can shoot, spread the floor,
Get to the line, protect the ball (career 1.4 turnovers) and score late (he’s a beast late).
    F*** it!!!!!!!!!
    Don’t care anymore.
Just make the deal now while our pick is so attractive. Make the offer anyway.
Our pick, Klay, Martin, Hardy,Russell, Exum and BWill for the dude.
They are all effectively expiring contracts by 2027 (they could move Martin for a second) and they’ll have a clean salary cap. Makes sense because all their good players are 5-10 yrs younger than him (George, Bailey, Hendricks, Kessler, Clayton, Filipowski, Sensabaugh, Collier……pretty much their entire team) and his value will only drop from here on out. Can they get more from OKC? Probably.
But I don’t live there so f*** them lol.
Utah with a clean payroll plus a lottery pick looks like a good deal for them.
Dallas with one of the leagues best scorers to balance out the frontline sounds good time.
    Best offense in the nba.
An average defense at best but that might be enough.
It would just be fun to go to games again.
F*** this “build around Flagg” bullsh*t.
    Let’s win Now!!!!!!!!
Let’s be fun to watch NOW!!!!!
We could all die of cancer waiting for that stupid plan to come to fruition.

  4. The hawks would have to be more stupid than Niko to trade that pick. It’s not happening. Why would they do something that stupid, make it make sense.

  5. A future Dallas pick for 2026 N.O. pick. Yes.
Otherwise ur forcing a lottery risk unnecessarily. And team needs more 2026 1st rd picks to rebuild around Flagg. Pick swaps are a bit of a coin flip

  6. There's no chance you're getting a good first-round pick for AD. I can't believe Atlanta got no draft picks, also they took a bad contract and got a role player. This makes the Luka trade seem like a really good deal.

  7. Trading AD now will basically mean forget about contending in the 2020's. People that think they want this will regret it after all the losing. The Wizards got Trae and a bunch of young talent so they're on the way up. The Mavs will take their spot especially since they don't own picks for the next 5 years. Stop thinking you'll be the Thunder. That's delusional unless you're getting a Paul George stimulus package for AD. Nope, you'll be the Wizards.

  8. If they won't trade us the pick, I say we give the Pelicans Anthony Davis. Let's see what kind of damage he can do to their lottery odds before the end of the season, lol.

  9. I would rather have the 2 picks. Once we trade AD we will lose more which could increase odds plus you have another pick in the 20s. You can package those 2 picks to move up if you find someone you really love.

  10. Just testing a trade machine, every viable scenario puts Atlanta in the luxury tax. If I were them I just stick with the current team for now. It makes more sense to let the contracts expire and then they'll be almost $80 mil under the cap in the offseason. They could literally just absorb AD's contract and only give back Risacher + picks. Some cap expert correct me if I'm wrong. My analysis has always been the Mavs should wait till the offseason before doing anything rash, and it looks like the Hawks should also wait.

  11. Like the thought here, but trading picks is too much of a risk. Mavs could tank after trading AD and/or Pelicans could get on a hot streak with no incentive to lose. Plus, as we just saw last year, you'd have egg on your face if your pick moved up in the lottery, but you don't have it. If ATL wants to do a swap, where Mavs get to choose the higher pick, sure. Otherwise, keep your pick and look to get another.

  12. Swapping may be the only way to get the deal done so it’s may be necessary. If we did that maybe they could include Asa Newell, I truly think he’d be a better fit with Coop than ZR( he did have 25 last night tho )They already have a bond from Monteverde and dudes a beast, incredible rebounder.
We just need the deal to happen, outside of the Hawks I don’t see anything enticing, I really can’t believe the reports saying Dallas was turned down by Golden State when they don’t have anything of value.

  13. I'd ask for a Risacher + the CLE pick and rights to swap the DAL and NOP pick- but I'd throw in Max Christie to get it done.

ATL gets a good young piece and a good win now piece, and still have a good shot at a top 10 pick. It's trading a little bit more than the CLE pick for a 22 year old top 100 player.

Dallas gets better odds at landing the next star (though since DAL is incentivized to tank and NOP isn't, how much is debatable), a late first round pick and salary cap room, and a change-of-scenery guy. They assume a LOT of risk here, because if neither NOP or DAL gets into the top 4 they're not in a great spot. And ATL is making out like a bandit if both of them get into the top 4.
