These guys are so banged up and playing heavy minutes. Part of me wants to see them in the playoffs but the other part wants them to miss out and rest up, get healthy and come back next year at 100 percent and with a chip on their shoulder which is when they are at their most dangerous.

I’m really starting to feel like we miss the playoffs or get bounced very quickly and then come back next year to truly contend again. The threepeat would be awesome but it’s just starting to not look realistic at all
Such a disheartening comment section here. ITS JANUARY. People in here saying the hope we MISS the playoffs are probably the same losers who wanted Maurice fired halfway into his first season.
This is a good idea imo. Remember Marchand got that penalty against Matheson and the Canadien bench got all mad? This game Marchand probably would have had a bounty on him. (One big hit and he’s out for a long time since he is already hitting a bit or rest him as a precautionary this game until he is 100%) Also please stop dooming. We are like 5 points out from a playoff spot 😂. Tkachuk is 99%, Jones is one week away (hopefully), Gadjovich planned to be coming back after Olympic break (1 month). Nosek, Schwindt, will be ready by mid March. Kulikov returns late march. Barkov joins a couple weeks after.
This is the roughest part of the season boys. We literally beat the avalanche (and the lighting playing away) with our “worst” roster. Now imagine when everyone begins to join back. If we are able to finish before the break either in a wc spot or one below that is ideal. Break over -> grind time and Florida hockey is back
Reality is he knows he’d get his nose caved in tonight after the elbow he threw on Matheson in OT when the habs & panthers last met.

This roster with these injuries is so ass. Like look at it for what it is. It’ll be a miracle if we can win a game on this road trip with everyone we have out
