I was a huge Harold fannin fan coming into the draft and expected late 1st or 2nd round. To my surprise he fell to the third round. And just as I predicted, he has shined on this terrible browns offense (no offense). I’m genuinely appalled NFL GMs didn’t take him earlier.
I haven’t watched many browns games this year, so I was wondering if he has any flaws in his game that caused him to drop so much?

Small school TE who relied on superior athleticism to beat out the lower-end competition that Bowling Green tended to face.
His biggest issue is probably his blocking, which isn’t necessarily bad but definitely needs work. That probably contributed to a fall as well.
Definitely should have gone earlier than he did, but I’m not entirely surprised it happened.
He did pretty well. It’s probably more about team needs and what was available in the draft more than Fannin having flaws.
His 40 time! Browns were ecstatic that he ran slower than expected. Either way it’s wild he wasn’t selected by 2nd round.
Large part of that is he played for BGSU. Lots of teams assumed his volume stats were buttressed by the level of competition.

Awkward sized TE who was a good but not elite athlete coming out of the MAC. Im sure a lot of teams didnt or wouldn’t use him as an inline TE which hinders his value to them.
MAC schools are generally ignored by NFL teams, Pittsburgh Steelers have been notorious for trolling the MAC for talented players and “stealing” them in the Draft.
If I understand it correctly, Fannin was considered undersized for a TE at the NFL Combine, because Stefanski cheered to himself knowing he was likely to fall based on the measurements.
Honestly? Terrible is being generous for the Browns offense this year outside of Fannin and Judkins.
Played for Bowling Green, undersized — but the biggest thing was his athleticism. For his size the 40 time wasn’t good, and if you watch him he runs like a cripple.
He’s kind of an awkward athlete, he runs duck-footed, and is pretty ‘hurkey-jerky’
Most people assumed he wouldn’t break tackles in the nfl at the rate he did in college
He ran a slower than expected 40 at the combine (in part due to his oddish mechanics)

He was a safety in HS and wasn’t on NFL radars for a while
Pretty stacked TE class, all of Harold, Loveland, Warren, Gadsden II, Mason Taylor look like plus starters in the NFL
MAC players are naturally gonna be looked down upon at least a little bit. The level of competition is so much lower that people just immediately assume that they can’t do the same things at a higher level.

He’s too big for a DB to handle and too quick for a LB. Plus, he has flat out ran people over with ball.

Undersized, injury potential being small being hit by bigger people, smaller TE so really less of a factor in the blocking game.
They put too many roundabouts in Bowling Green. Scouts didn’t want to drive there.
