  1. The 7th seed is typically a team that squeaks into the playoffs. The Chargers chose to get the 7th seed by resting their starters. They are not your typical 7th seed team.

  2. I have been saying this for days … Chargers are a tough opponent for the Pats, however … matchup wise they are not. Matchup wise Pats DL > Chargers OL. Pats QB pressure is one of the best in NFL, however they do not bring it home in terms of sacks. Against Chargers OL there's a good chance that pressure converts into sacks. Pats OL is bigger then Chargers DL. I think pats will run lot's of 12 personal at the beginning, they will force Chargers out of having 7 players in coverage, and that will open up the pass game. I think Chargers game plan will be to run the ball on the edges, to slow down pass rush. Having Spillane back will help on the edges. If on-paper advantages play out in the real game, Pats will win because Chargers won't be able to outscore Pats. However, if Chargers are able to run on the edges and shorten the game, I think that will be Chargers advantage because of experience in the QB position. If Chargers have to blitz or bring their safeties to stop the run, chargers pass defense will fall apart. They play zone!!!! You cannot play zone with single high safety. I think key factor is both teams running game. If Pats can run, they can turn this game into a shootout which favors Pats. If Chargers can run, put together long 8-9 play drivers and shorten the game, Chargers will have an advantage in the 4th quarter.

  3. As a Pats fan, the Chargers are a totally legit, tough team and I’m predicting they beat the Patriots Sunday. I just don’t know what to expect from the Pats and the Chargers are fighting for that retribution from last year. The Pats will have to prove it and there’s just too many unknowns. Any given Sunday though

  4. The Pats got back Milton Williams on the D-line last week. Being paired with Christian Barmore on that defensive front is a huge plus for the Pats. Both Williams and Barmore rank in the top 3 in the NFL for pressure rate among DTs. I think having them both back and playing along with the return of Harold Landry and Robert Spillane is going to make a difference. Getting pressure up front without having to blitz is a game-changer against an offensive line that is patched together like the Chargers are right now. I think this is a big deal for the Pats, as before Milton got hurt and then Landry, the Pats hadn't given up more than 50 yards rushing in any game. This could be huge going into the playoffs to be able to get that rock-solid line pressure and run D back when it matters most. I think it's a close game, 23-16 Patriots pull it out

  5. Beating the cowboys can be viewed as a good win now? Whenever they talk about the broncos beating them it’s “ well that defense is terrible, everyone looks good against the cowboys”

  6. The Patriots are the only team in the NFL for the past two decades that never gets the benefit of injuries. It’s always every other team that plays the Patriots gets to use the injury excuse but never the Patriots. No matter how banged up and injured they are. We’re all used to it up here, but it does get old.

  7. No Nick you never make sense. You are a …… This is actually the first time i have heard you say anything halfway positive about Herbert. How much did it hurt to say it 😂😂😂

  8. When you imitate nick you gotta wave your hands and turn your head left to right continuously and say i a couple times then back it up with we then another i.

  9. Patriots are gonna b locked in for this game especially Maye an Hunter an Diggs an Pop along with the rest of the squad an Chism fixing to b my unsung hero lowkey. Bet on it

  10. Don’t be fooled. Harbaugh is a genius. It is highly likely the last two losses of the season were intentional (which would explain the uncharacteristic plays against HOU). By not chasing the AFC West title, Instead of being the 2 seed and facing BUF or JAX at home (only a 15% greater chance of winning), the better matchup is to face the unproven Pats and, if all goes well, travel to DEN to continue their domination of the Broncos. Not to mention the creation of a bye week right before the playoffs for the starters. This is next level strategy. If it works, Harbaugh’s legend is solidified and the HoF is inevitable.

  11. As a Bills fan who doesn’t like the Patriots, especially the premature crowning, I think the chargers can take them down and if doesn’t necessarily mean an upset either
