I think Bellinger's head is in NY, that's where he lives, he felt good on the team, and the Yankees are winners. Boras only uses offers from other teams.
Since the idiots got rid of Cassie for a 3 tier pitcher there gonna need another good bat. But hey we have an injury prone pitcher with shoulders issues and a blown up 3. Plus era way to go cubs
Since they made a bad trade yesterday for another injury prone pitcher and traded away three top prospects and still are nowhere near landing a big bat. It just proves Ricketts is cheap and Hoyer definitely has to go!!!!!
I thought bellinger did a good job when he was a cub.
I agree. But how much does this scream Cubs front office ignorance? I mean, they PAID MONEY to NOT SIGN one of the greatest outfielders in MLB AFTER HE SAID HE WANTED TO STAY IN WRIGLEY! I'll never in my life understand this move.
At least Bellinger ran out ground balls something Tucker might or might not.
He needs to come back. Bellinger bring back defensive outfield.
Both years Belli was a Cub were better than Tuckers year
We need Bichette!!!!!!
I acknowledge they won't re-sign him, but he's the best option of the four. Bregman is a cheater. Tucker isn't very good and the dullest "star" I've ever seen. Bichette hits a lot, but there will never be anyone on base for him to drive in. Cody at least slugs, plays good defense, can platoon RF/1B/DH, and is fun to watch.
I love Belli but they wouldn't have dumped him for pennies and pocketed the money. He literally has no spot on this team anyway.
The cubs only seem to be in on any of the big names if their deals fall through and their willing to do the short years and high annual value deals. I dont think Bellinger or Tucker will choose the Cubs if it comes to the short deals. They will have those small offers from plenty of other teams. Wrigley has become a tough field to have much of a power hitter year. If their gonna take a short deal to try again next year, theyll go somewhere like the Yankees with that short porch on right field. Somewhere they can get their numbers and value up. Im really starting to think tgat a lot of our ERA success in pitching is because of location. You can pitch way more differently when you know they cant hit it out of the park.
Your best take ever ! Never gonna happen, just like Tucker resigning.
He's better than Tucker. Thet need a Big R handed bad. I dont want t Tucker. You break your shin and your never the same.
