From bad to worse…

  1. Welp… woes vs Canada continue this year.

    * Hospital squad stays struggling
    * Montreal owns our asses
    * Bob….
    * Hey at least Bennett got 2 goals

    *flips back to the Canes game*

  2. On to Ottowa and hopefully Tkachuk and Marchand return. Praying that the Canes make the National Championship so this loss will sting a little less.

  3. Done with Jeff Petry already. Large enough sample size that he isn’t the OEL/Schmidt type of player we need

  4. We’re a deep team, but you can’t expect to be down Jones and Marchand on top of the regular injured and beat a really good team. Our best hope is to squeak out a few before the break and then go on a mad vengeful tear that will fry the skin off of the faces of our enemies

  5. Expected this loss, just not to this degree. Gonna take some serious magic to even get us to the playoffs now. It honestly might just be better for the health of the team at this point if we can actually have an off-season for the first time in several years.

  6. I don’t know what else to say besides I hope that Tkachuk, Marchand, and Schwindt play on Saturday. If the Cats can get on a 5 game winning streak things will look/feel a lot better.

  7. Full honesty, I’m fuckin bored and not interested in watching another game trailing by 3.

  8. Welp, on to the next one.

    Bad games always suck to watch but happen, sides were down a lot of people…again.

    Let’s make it though and get our boys healed up, I know we can do it, let’s do more like the 2nd period yeah?

  9. Separate from the loss, is there any chance we might be interested in getting more mods? Feels like our GDTs get lousy with trolls from outside the fanbase.

  10. With Marchand and Jones being out we’ve definitely tumbled over the “too injured too compete” threshold we had been flirting with earlier in the season. Feels like the season is some sort of twisted experiment to see exactly how many starters you need to remove from a championship team to neuter them.

    Weirdly, the game didn’t feel *that* out of reach? Though I think that’s largely just copium from what felt like generationally bad puck luck. Just off the top of my head:

    * First Goal bar down and in deflection of our own guy
    * The two one one stopping the pass only to have it bounce right back to him and leaving Bob stuck
    * Whatever the flying ping pong fuck the hat trick goal was

  11. Didn’t have high expectations tonight. Every puck bounced the Habs way and we are missing way too many pieces. I don’t wanna hear any whinging about Bob, they had crazy tips and we left guys alone at the side of the net for tap ins. Not his fault.

    Boys have got to get healthy asap.

  12. Well that was a game again. Horrible puck luck and defense today, can’t blame Bob for the goals. PP still sucks and it sucks bad! And we need to start scoring on the chances we get, like Mackies brakeaway!! We looked good on the second period and last half of 3rd. On to the next one in Ottawa and hope we get some boys back to the lineup. We are only 3pts away from WC so couple of wins in and we are back in the mix. Stay strong! It’s not over yet!

  13. This is just the sucky part about being this banged up and having to tread water. You’re going to look like this some nights until you get healthy. Add in the fact that Montreal matches up well against us and this result was a given.

    Still only three points out though. A win Saturday puts us in a decent spot. Just have to keep slogging

  14. Welp… at least we scored two points and it wasn’t a blowout.

    We do have some players returning at the end of the month; They are playing it a bit safe with Jones and Marchy but better safe than sorry.

    Onto the next game!!
