This guy’s worth 2 firsts right?

  1. Why doesn’t someone just create AI highlights of the 2025/2026 Warriors going on a playoff run and winning it all? That should satisfy us.

  2. For us, probably worth two protected firsts, yea. But oof, talk about bad timing. Nuggets had to pay an unprotected future first six years from now just to swap him for Cam Johnson. Hurts to think they could have probably gotten him over the summer without giving up a pick at all. Just brutal.

  3. Depends, I suspect he would either demand an extension or ask out as soon as the trade happened.

So if a team isn’t prepared to open the checkbook I would not trade for him.

  4. Did you know this guy literally has a brace that goes up his leg with a metal plate in his shoe that lifts his foot for him? He literally cannot do it by himself.

  5. How did MPJ go from a negative asset (with his contract) to worth 2 first after some games with the Nets lol

  6. I’m not so sure he’d be producing the same way here like he is in BKN. I’m worried his stats are inflated like Schroder’s and would struggle in a motion offense

  7. Leveraging the future of the franchise on the verge of losing its core in the next 3 years for a knuckle head, ball hog, mediocre at best defender, with back issues doesn’t sound great.

Unless Wardell loves this dude and we force MPJ to sign a blood oath he’ll grab 8 rebounds a night, it’s not worth it even if it improves this year’s squad.

  8. I’d rather get us Trey Murphy if we giving up 2 first rounds picks. He has higher ceiling than MPJ and he can play defence while being an offensive machine. He will be legit 2nd lead scorer behind curry.

  9. I loved him in Denver. His biggest limitation is that he doesn’t necessarily create his own shots well. He had back surgery that caused nerve damage; giving him a case of drop foot. So he has a brace inside his shoe to keep his toes/foot level. This limits his handles and movement, although he has done a marvelous job of maximizing what his body *can* still do.

Also he’s a dog. Battled through a significant shoulder injury in last year’s playoffs, because he knew we needed him in order to have a chance. I’ll never have a single bad thing to say about his time in Denver.

  10. WE NEED SOMEONE OVER 6’2” FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THATS HOLY WE ARE PLAYING BASKETBALL

  11. Wrong question. Is curry worth 2 picks? Hell yeah. Anything to maximize his last years.

  12. If he stayed healthy, maybe. Dude is a freak of nature for still being able to play and produce given his medical history

  13. The warriors were supposed to pick Obi Toppin not Kuminga! Has nothing to do with the post. Just needed to say it. 😐 ATL we lost Trae…. 😢 hope yall get it figured out!

  14. I don’t care about draft capital. Let’s give Steph a chance to win again before he hangs it up. Warriors will go back to purgatory for a decade once he’s done. Win now!

  15. The warriors need to realize that MPJ won’t be the same for their team as he is for the nets as a #1 option. Just look at him on Denver

  16. It’s tricky, as people tend to over-value FRPs simply due to the unknown aspect. I.e. who’s available when YOU pick?
If you think of it as “how many FRPs would it take to get a near-all-star level offensive player that is not a pure negative on defense?”, then it changes a but, as based on real history, you can assume there are rarely more than five in any draft class (so 1 in 12), so it might take you five or six years of drafting to get that. In that context, if you believe MPJ’s offense results this year are legit and not just a product of being on a bad team, then yes, he is worth 2 FRPs. It would take more than two picks to get a similar result.
