Difference with Brian Callahan vs Chris Shula and Jesse Minter being first time head coaches is they at least have proven to call plays and be Xs and Os coaches unlike Callahan who was just a moron.
Sorry Brad but mike is not the right answer. Cowboys never won in the playoffs with him because he literally had a predictable offensive scheme. Thats few years ago. But i dont like that fit. I dont think it would benefit Cam. Now go get a coach that can help Cam now and that he can relate to also. Thats very important. Connectivity is so important. Look at Ben Johnson and the Bears
Nah, I’d rather have a young coach who can lead and has experience calling plays just like the Jags, Texans and Bears.
Why is there no mention of Jim Caldwell? Titans missing the mark if they don't interview Caldwell for HC.
It should be McCarthy 💯… but it’s the Titans so we’ll probably not go with the best choice.
Honestly if the Titans did the Saleh McDaniel combo that would be best case scenario, if it comes to McDaniel becoming HC or you lose him I could be talked into it. Properly developing Cam Ward is paramount and anything else has to be a secondary issue.
Raheem Morris i think is a good DC, his problem was he hitched himself to Zac Robinson as the OC, Atlanta definitely didn't get everything out of their offense they should have considering the talent there. Morris as a DC should be considered.
Be patient we got time
Robert Saleh as HC and McDaniels as OC would be perfect
Harbaugh, McCarthy or Stefanski or Kingsbury
Here is the thing… there are a grand total of 32 NFL head coaching positions in the entire world… 7 billion people and there are 32 total jobs. Most of those 32 jobs are locked down for now. I think McCarthy would be an immediate stop gap and immediately turned back in the right direction. I dont think he can win a SB with us, but he can at least get us back to respectable.
2:32 wait but that was Mike Vrabel and you rejoiced about the Callahan hiring
I brought up Mike McCarthy and Jon Gruden before they hired Brian C
Pete Carrol and his inept sons are available. 😂
You want to know where it comes from that people think Mike McCarthy is not a good head coach it's probably the same ones that say cam Ward is garbage because its not the person they want if it's not who they want then they are garbage point blank which is sad. Go ahead bash out at me I don't mind the truth hurts doesn't it.
Ive been on board for Harbaugh, McCarthy, then stefanski
The hires needed are defensive coordinator and OC coordinator need a solid head coach. McDaniels or matt nagy would be awesome ocs for the titans.
how many years do you give a new coach to make the playoffs
Who’s your top 5 in order Brad?
Shula is my favorite in the first time department.
I always want to laugh when people make a bigger deal about winning a SB than it is. Playoff games are often lost or won by a field goal kicker. I'd look more to consistency getting to the playoffs which does fit McCarthy and Harbaugh. Even BB had issues winning after Brady left. Brady won with Ariens as his coach. Ariens is a SUPER BOWL WINNING coach. McCarthy did win with Aaron Rodgers. Did he make Rodgers or did Rodgers make McCarthy? Also, the vast number of the better coaches now are guys that were hired without experience. So insisting on a guy who has experience just makes the pool of candidates much smaller. Vrabel was an inexperienced coach when we hired him. The guys before him were experienced (Wisenhunt, Mularkey).
I have to ask…. Why the outlandish titles?
Let's go! Titan Up
I don’t get all the Mike McCarthy hype. Experienced? Yeah, of course he is, he’s 62 years old. Led some decent teams? Sure. Won a Super Bowl? Awesome.
If those are the check boxes then why aren’t we going after Pete Carroll?
Please, let’s get a younger coach in there. I’m fine if they want an experienced guy, but please let’s get someone who can stick around for a while. If the new guy and Cam work out well I’d like to watch them work together for the next decade plus.
If we go with someone who is already in their 60s I don’t see that happening.
I think McCarthy is good. But I do think younger options may be the way especially, since they're available… for now. Harbaugh, almost 20 seasons, as lucrative as it appears, It's hard to decide. He may need to sit out this season to regroup. But, I won't be mad if the Titans hire him.
Stop bringing up John Gruden guys. He's suing the nfl!
