When a goalie is really good, their positioning can be so elite that we don’t even notice their excellence. I just wanted to show some love.. this is exciting.
I noticed this play from Wallstedt while catching up on highlights and just… wow.

I mean.. how does he get that edge to grab 🤯
His fundamentals are otherworldly
Wally will be the best goalie in the NHL very soon. He is unbelievably good and still learning every game
The fan reactions from behind the net 😂😂
We need agile play like that for deep cup runs. Let’s see if we can get out of 1st round
Dunn missing that was karma for his flop
He is him
Hes got the skills to pay the bills
Pretty amazing edge work and recovery, but ideally you don’t mishandle that rebound on the second shot to necessitate that.
You’re right though that we should all be very excited about Wallstedt.
The fact he can remain so calm while on his ass is incredible. No panicking to get back on his feet, just finishing the play and then resetting
You can tell by his posture that he’s locked in at pretty much all times. Dude looks more confident than Roy did in the crease.
Watching him is just incredible. He’ll only get better too

I remember Scott Wheeler described him as a robot because he was basically never out of position and he simply doesn’t move or flinch like other goalies. Just always calm.
I noticed this too, thought it was one of those incredible plays that goes unnoticed throughout a game. The edge work and balance to be there is crazy.
Love seeing him play. Going to miss him when we can’t afford him and gus.
Wally allowed 2 and still had like 1.8 gsax. Now I’m not the fan of metrics but this should mean he was hang out to dry and literally kept the game afloat.
