God damn does it feel good to be winners again.
With that last one, we've now had 6 straight victories, a run we haven't seen since 2022. And we have our beautiful boy Lizotte to thank for it.
Today on this beautiful Saturday, we host the Calgary Flames. Calgary is limping into town on a 4 game losing streak, sitting 7th in the Pacific with a brutal -20 goal differential. Simply put, things aren't going well for them, and only two teams in the league have fewer points (Vancouver and Winnipeg)
Meanwhile, things continue to look up for us.
The wins keep coming, most of our injured players are back, the bottom six is popping off, and the defense is finally starting to resemble an actual NHL blue line. What's not to love?
Now, if we can just avoid playing down to one of the league's worst teams, this should be an easy 2 points in the bag for us. In addition to this, a win today puts us back above .500!

* **Vibes** – **Wheel of Fortune (Reversed)** – Hmm. The Wheel of Fortune is exactly that: cyclical. Reversed, it can be about unpredictability, feeling stuck in a rut, and unlucky bounces. It could be regarding sudden changes, lines could still be adjusting.
* **Outcome** – **The Fool** – I feel like I almost never draw the Fool so I’m always really gleeful when I do, it’s a fun card. The Fool is about new beginnings, spontaneity, and childlike innocence and optimism. It’s also a bit naïve – you can see in the card our Fool is on the edge of the cliff, not looking where they’re going because they’re so enamoured with the world around them.
**Flames**
* **Vibes** – **The Hierophant (Reversed)** – the Hierophant always gives me the heebie jeebies, tbh. Reversed, it’s about feeling really restricted by current surroundings and rules, and there’s a huge feeling of a lack of control. The Hierophant is encouraging rebellion, or at least questioning if what’s being done is working or worth the constraints.
* **Outcome** – **The Hermit (Reversed)** – If the Hermit upright is cosy night at home on your own to recharge, the Hermit reversed is bed-rotting for weeks on end while avoiding all texts and calls. It’s all about starting off with good intentions (recharging) that have gone astray and are now harmful. (isolation). Could be a literal card here re: isolation, but it’s also very much a “something needs to change, you can’t keep doing this, but you also have to *want* to not be doing this,” card.
